System Engineer - Product and Certification Support

Job Description

The Customer Support Maintenance Engineering team in Seal Beach is looking for a mid level Product and Certification Support Engineer.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Leads evaluation, impact assessment, and disposition of Engineering Data to ensure product accuracy.
• Conducts engineering analyses to verify the accuracy of maintenance/repair data.
• Non-recurring and sustaining development, validation and delivery of technical Airplane Maintenance data, Fault Isolation and Integrated Planning to maintain the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness and FAA/Foreign Regulatory requirements.
• Analyzes complex engineering designs, supplier and engine manufacturer design data to determine and develop maintenance, and repair supportability requirements and methods for configured procedures and instructions.
• Leads influence of Engineering change processes to ensure safety, supportability and maintainability.
• Develops new procedures and techniques to allow users to maintain and repair products.
• Participates in organizational activities that influence the Aerospace Industry.

Basic Qualifications (Required skills/experience):

• Bachelors Degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, mathematics, computer science or physics
• Strong analytical skills in a systems engineering environment
• Demonstrated experience in a role that required strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with systems engineering, project engineering or program management.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired skills/experience):

• A& P license or current enrollment in an certification program
• PMP or CAPM is strongly preferred

Typical Education and Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation
