Purpose and Objectives

The SAP Leonardo Center in Hudson Yards acts as an innovation show floor for customers and partners to accelerate their digital innovation journey, using Design Thinking and best practice stories of the SAP Leonardo portfolio – SAP's digital innovation system. The Center showcases emerging technologies like IoT, Machine Learning, Blockchain, Big Data, Analytics, and the SAP Cloud Platform as key ingredients for the digital transformation, making SAP’s solutions tangible. Tours of the Leonardo Center consist of custom-tailored, innovative and industry best practice stories to customers and prospects across all industries by leveraging the innovation space, which features the newest showcases and scenarios the IT industry has to offer.

Expectations and Tasks

The Intern will assist the Leonardo Center team to represent SAP’s transformation agenda for worldwide customers and partners. The candidate promotes SAP Leonardo technologies and the SAP end-to-end product portfolio. Additionally, the intern supports several activities to ensure SAP’s innovation portfolio – SAP Leonardo – is storytelled and explained in a customized way.

Besides:

  • Occasionally conduct customer tours of the Innovation Space
  • Support the coordination of Leonardo Center tours and showcases / demo preparation.
  • Identify and discuss viable SAP solutions fine-tuned to the customer’s needs to ultimately draft the storyline for their innovation center visit
  • Customize showcases to customer needs, interest and companies
  • Ensure showcase exhibits and equipment in the center is working properly
  • Work on strategic innovation topics such as Big Data/IoT/Machine Learning/Cloud/other emerging technologies and develop use cases for customers
  • Assist with administrative tasks to guarantee smooth working processes
  • Exchange with internal stakeholders to deliver a strong rolling volume for the SAP Leonardo Center activities aligned with the Executive Briefing Center
  • Participate in baseline trainings to quickly learn targeted SAP technologies and methodologies

Skills / Competencies

  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and eager to learn
  • Strong, confident presentation and communication skills
  • High energy, lifelong learning mentality, clear goal orientation, strong work ethic and “can do” attitude is a plus.
  • First experience in customer-facing positions, demonstrating storytelling capabilities
  • First knowledge of the SAP innovation portfolio
  • First experience in (showcase) development, and or programming skills
  • Knowledge on SAP end-to-end processes and solution matching
  • Experience in working with cross-functional innovation teams and other stakeholders

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS or Master’s (preferred) degree in Business, related technical discipline, or related area of study.
  • Requires candidates to currently be enrolled in an undergraduate, Masters, MBA or PhD degree program, which is applicable to the position
