QA Lead - Cloud Solutions

This role is to provide QA leadership and hands on work focused on Cloud-based production automation solutions. The position requires an experienced person that has a good balance of technical capability with practical experience along with a deep understanding of QA strategy, toolsets and implementation approaches. This person will lead a QA effort than spans multiple products and requires the ability to manage multiple priorities with a consistent approach to deliver high quality solutions

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing QA solutions in collaboration with developers
• Responsible for designing overall team QA strategy in collaboration with QA Team Lead
• Responsible for prototyping QA solutions in collaboration with developers and QA Team
• Responsible for implementing automated test suites in collaboration with developers and QA Team
• Responsible for carrying out exploratory testing in collaboration with developers and QA Team
• Responsible for defining what QA coverage we should have in collaboration with developers, QA Team, Product Owners and the Customer Success
• Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software quality assurance organization.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Typically around 6+ years experience.

Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

• Extensive experience with multiple software quality assurance tools and processes.
• Evaluating forms and processes for software testing and methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proven experience defining test cases with stakeholders.
• Proven experience defining testing coverage standards.
• Proven experience of implementing QA solutions across a number of testing concepts (such as smoke, sanity, black box, white box, etc)
• Proven experience implementing automated testing solutions (such as UI, API, etc).
• Proven experience implementing QA solutions for performance testing, load testing and database testing.
• Hands on coding experience.
• Proven experience setting up and configuring systems to support Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
• Happy to work with JavaScript.
• Proven experience designing QA solutions with stakeholders
• Supporter of agile and lean principles
• Experience in overall architecture and software design for products and solutions.
• Experience with design and integration of software running on multiple platform types.
