USER EXPERIENCE DESIGNER
Location: Austin, TXAs a User Experience Designer (UX), you will work in and with the engineering team to design experiences for the user. Responsible for researching and designing and improving the users experience for the modernization of ongoing of current products, including prototyping, UI concepts and balancing the technical needs and capabilities with input from the field and end customers.You will...
  • present design solutions and project deliverables to team members and stakeholders. Be able to drive consensus and negotiate trade-offs effectively.
  • work collaboratively directly with developers on weekly sprints tied to shipping deliverables and help ensure high quality development on time.
  • have experience with UX technologies and tools and have the opportunity to learn and adapt to new tools.
  • be the prime leader on user experience and have direct influence in the development of products.
  • Collaborate with product owners, managers, and developers to define product experience for enterprise applications.
  • Engage in all phases of product creation, from sketching & wire-frames to clickable prototypes & QA-ing.
  • Determine the research requisites for the creation of key new products and the optimization of existing products.
  • Establish visual design systems compliant with implemented UI frameworks and brand language.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • To succeed in this job, you must have 5+ years in user experience design for software products or in a consulting environment.
  • It would be preferred if you have experience sketching, concept creation and wire framing, producer user flows, creating clickable prototypes. Research methods- usability testing (lab), phone interview and focus groups. Knowledge of interaction architectures practices in UX and the ability to take wireframes through to well-executed visual designs.
  • You must be fluent in English.
  • We would like someone to join our team who has previous experience working on B2B solutions for the enterprise market, proficient in key software packages such as Sketch and Invision, analytical thinking: efficiently identify problems and solutions.
  • You must have a Bachelors in Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design or related field equivalent
  • Additional Skills:

Empathy — understanding of user psychology with the empathy to exist in user’s shoes

Visual Design — thorough knowledge of design principles, practices, frameworks, and industry standards

Communication — ability to present solutions, articulate design decisions, and convey issues to colleagues and stakeholders

Criticality — keen assessment skills tempered with the ability to prioritize urgency levels

Adaptability — works well on a variety of teams and projects, in structured and unstructured environments
