This senior leader is responsible for leading the human resource functions supporting the Payments, Virtual Solutions and Innovation (PVSI) and Technology businesses. The leader will serve on the Human Resources Leadership Team and will be a trusted advisor to Senior Executive Vice President and Head of PVSI. This leader will also lead a team of seasoned HR leaders and their teams with accountability for coaching and leading senior executives, proactively identifying opportunities, and executing solutions to improve individual and business performance. This includes the HR leader who serves as the trusted advisor to the Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Technology. This leader and their teams will also be responsible for building bench strength through talent management, development and succession planning and building and fostering an inclusive culture and strong team member experience. The incumbent must ensure compliance with all regulatory and corporate/audit requirements. The leader will manage a human resources consulting function and will work closely with the Centers of Excellence to develop frameworks and manage performance in support of organizational goals.

  • Deposit Products Group

  • Treasury, Merchant and Payment Solutions
  • Virtual Channels
  • PVSI Strategy
  • PVSI COO

Technology:

  • Line of business/function technology services and solutions
  • Information Security
  • Technology infrastructure
  • Technology strategy and enablement
  • Technology COO

This position reports directly to David Galloreese, Head of Human Resources. This leader will lead a team of human resources leaders and professionals across the footprint.

Critical success factors include demonstrated inspirational leadership capability including innovation and inclusion, proven skills in effectively developing and executing strategies and championing change across business units. This is a results-oriented leader who exhibits exceptionally strong relationship management and influencing skills, with a proven ability to provide oversight to satisfy the changing needs of the businesses in Wells Fargo. The key differentiator will be the ability to understand and operate in a complex, matrixed environment and will require a sense of urgency and a proven ability to:

  • Work with the executive management teams to build leadership competencies and a high performing organization
  • Collaborate with corporate counterparts concerning enterprise level projects, policies and operational decisions
  • Effectively identify and mitigate HR and business risk issues
  • Proactively develop and execute Human Capital Plans that integrate PVSI and enterprise HR needs that enable excellent business outcomes
  • Brief senior managers and executives concerning matters of significance to the organization and provide executive coaching and consultation to the executive management team
  • Direct and collaborate on strategy and execution of Human Resources activities within and across the Enterprise Functions
  • Lead a team of high performing HR professionals, with both direct and dotted line accountabilities

Location: San Francisco, Charlotte and WF Hubs may be considered.


Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of human resources consulting experience, business management experience, or a combination of both
  • 10+ years of management experience

This collaborative leader must be capable of initiating action and managing change. The role demands a persuasive, effective communicator who can position Human Resources as an indispensable business partner. It requires a leader with strong relationship management and influencing skills. Experience directly and indirectly managing a geographically dispersed team will position a candidate for success. The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement. The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • 15 or more years of direct, relevant and recent experience in a large corporate, multi-business HR or line organization
  • Documented ability to link management of human capital with business results
  • Demonstrated experience in providing outstanding HR client or business support as a trusted, business driven, results oriented leader
  • Excellent consulting, influencing and partnering abilities with business executives/leaders and HR partners
  • Proven success in building and leading a team of high performing professionals, motivating and mobilizing both direct and matrixed resources
  • Demonstrated ability to set strategic vision and effectively align resources to deliver results
  • Strong and effective negotiation skills
  • Superb collaboration skills across multiple levels and functions with demonstrated success in aligning divergent positions and bringing cohesion to diverse perspectives
  • Demonstrated track record of large change leadership and management, including organizational development, learning and development, team engagement, compliance and risk management, talent planning, succession planning, diversity initiatives and management
  • Proven ability to successfully execute initiatives, manages projects, and drive for results
  • Full understanding of the Wells Fargo Vision and Values, competitive strengths, industry dynamics, theory and application of financial analysis and statistics
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Leadership development, Industrial Relations or related field
  • Master’s Degree in Business, HR or a related field
  • Strong understanding of and experience with the Functional lines of business
