Job Description

About the Team:

The Senior Associate will report to the Manager of Accounting, Operating Expenses. The Accounting team drives the month end close process, is responsible for the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements and plays an essential role in the overall Finance organization. The Senior Associate will be a key player in the Month-End Financial Close as well as have an opportunity to grow within a dynamic Finance organization.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the monthly financial close by preparing account reconciliations, submitting journal entries and working with other cost centers to obtain relevant information.
• Prepare monthly expense analyses and explain trends/variances.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Assist in implementing accounting policies and procedures to ensure all financial transactions are executed according to GAAP principles.
• Answer accounting and financial inquiries by researching and interpreting data.
• Support the year-end financial statement audit and quarterly reviews.
• Support Leadership with various ad-hoc analyses and management reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience
• BA/BS in Accounting required

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA (or CPA track)
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience with Workday Financials
• Proactive self-starter capable of working independently as well as in a team
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
• Analytical with well-developed problem-solving skills
• Flexible with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Think outside the box mentality
