About the Job

As a SAP Commerce Technology Consultant, you will work directly with client and partner organisations requiring expert level technical assistance. The Technical Consultant works as a consulting team member or an individual technical consultant on product implementation, enhancement, integration, or audit/review projects.

The Technical Consultant is expected to provide clients and partners with deep product expertise and real world experience that, together, can realise the full potential of the technology to meet the client’s strategic and business objectives.

Project complexity may vary from fairly straightforward to moderately complex, with single or multiple products and involve multiple environments (web, application, database servers).

Work efforts focus primarily on delivering architectural, technical design, development and deployment services on engagements ranging from short-term consulting on a client/partner project team to full life-cycle implementation projects. Duties may be performed at customer’s site.

Your Responsibilities

1. Work with partners and customers to increase project quality during implementation and deployment phases through expert consulting and quality assurance reviews
2. Deliver adoption and value realisation services to ensure customers get the best of their Digital Commerce platform investment
3. Provide in depth technical and functional knowledge of SAP Commerce platform and integration with other SAP products
4. Drive customer workshop or collaborate with partners to assess functional and technical requirements
5. Deliver design for complex parts of projects to ensure scalable and flexible Cloud platform
6. Provide guidance on best practices to large development team during project implementation
7. Work with the support team to determine how the applications are supported in production, including system performance and monitoring
8. Ability to travel abroad
   Education
9. University degree in computer science, comparable education or job experience
   Work Experience
10. 8+ years of total IT experience
11. At least 5 years of implementing and/or supporting large enterprise java-based projects
    Required Skills
12. Mastering Java programming and deep understanding of Java EE and Spring framework
13. Strong enterprise architecture design skills using modern frameworks
14. Deep experience in designing and implementing highly available and scalable Cloud solutions
15. Experience of agile & scrum development principles and practices
16. Strong customer facing skills
17. Problem solving skills, tenacity, drive, proactive and creativity
18. Ability to adapt to fast-evolving technologies and fast paced environment
19. Appetite for constant knowledge sharing and desire to contribute to continuous learning of the team
20. Very good English language skills (verbal & written)
    Appreciated Skills
21. SAP Commerce experience is a plus but not required
22. Strong consulting background
23. Digital Commerce and/or Digital Marketing knowledge
24. Ability to run scoping workshops and build solution proposals
25. Experience in Java application performance and troubleshooting for large traffic websites
26. Knowledge in front-end technologies such as AngularJS, React, NodeJS
27. Understanding of Search engines (Elasticsearch, Solr) and Data Analytics (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Zookeeper)
28. Interest for big data and data science
