This is a temporary position of undetermined length.
Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) in Tewksbury, MA, invites you to join our fast paced, action oriented University Programs Talent Acquisition team. We drive results by attracting the right talent to enhance their careers at our global technology company. As a vital part of our University Programs TA team, you will be focused on recruiting New College Hires and Interns though out the United States. This role will directly support the University Programs Team or as the business needs dictate. This is an excellent early career opportunity for those who have a passion for Recruiting.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
· Engage as a collaborative partner with the hiring and human resource managers to align company goals, strategies, and tactics to identify the secure top talent in order to exceed company goals.
· Perform all aspects of recruiting and sourcing to include: intake / strategy discussions with hiring managers; improving quality of job descriptions; sourcing from a variety of channels including internet and networking to develop a pipeline of qualified diverse candidates.
· Add value beyond transactional tasks by pursuing opportunities to refine and improve process, identifying potential trends/issues and pushing back on partners as appropriate.
· Act as an internal consultant for hiring managers to facilitate discussion on market trends, compensation and sourcing strategies.
· Follow and be compliant with process.
· Share best practices with teammates. Utilize Raytheon tools, methods, and procedures to drive results.
· May need to engage in high volume recruiting as the business needs dictate.
· Some local and domestic travel may be required to attend job fairs and other events.
Required Skills and experience:
· 1+ years experience in talent acquisition or human resources
· Strong background following process and government regulations
· Proven experience building relationships with hiring managers, business partners, and leaders in a matrixed organization
Desired Skills and experience:
· Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent
· Recruiting on University Campuses
· Experience recruiting in a Technical, Operations, Engineering, or Manufacturing environment
· Ability to source candidates through a variety of networks and tools
· Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management, written and oral communication skills
· Initiative and creativity to suggest ideas that improve the team's ability to meet/exceed hiring objective
· Demonstration of drive and a high expectation for delivering exceptional business partner relationships
· Ability to take initiative, prioritize, influence, negotiate and partner effectively with individuals and all levels of the organization
· Experience with change management and the ability to be flexible in a work style and responsibility
· Strong computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, ATS)
· Prior success in high volume recruiting efforts
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization. 146280
