Sr. Technical Specialist, CLIENT NETWORK DELIVERY

Job Description

Manages, delivers and deploys aspects of network architecture, design, engineering and detail network specifications in order to migrate client from current network environment to the new environment.
May include vendor management, client relations, resource planning and management, project management and quality assurance, new equipment installation and configuration and client training.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist in the maintaining the security, integrity and, business continuity of enterprise-wide security and network systems in the capacity of a service provider - Under general direction, install, configure, and support the network and security systems (hardware/software) - Assist in infrastructure monitoring, assessment, new requirement analysis and support - Monitor and respond to support queuing systems and monitoring/alerting systems - Perform traffic analysis using raw packet data, net flow, and similar tools - Understand working in a regulated environment with strong change control management and processes - Ensure configurations are accurate and compliance to standards as documented - Support a performance-based environment - Support the development, documentation, and tracking of metrics, trends, and mitigations - Ability to work independently and within a team as required, part of a global staff delivering network tech support - Interfaces with client, vendors, operations, managers, other engineering teams and account team members. - Stays current on emerging tools, techniques and technologies
Key Competencies and Skills:
- Technical professional with 5+ years’ experience; CCNA-Network or CCNA-Security - Cisco ASA Firewalls, configuration and troubleshooting experience - Strong understanding of TCP/IP, stateful policy, IPSEC and SSL VPN, Reverse Proxy - Web Proxy configuration and usage (WebSense or Forcepoint preferred) - Fundamental understanding of LAN/WAN services, switching and routing; layer 2 and 3. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - In-depth understanding of TCP/IP protocols, ports, and services - Sound technical knowledge growing through application, and expanding knowledge of technologies - Technical writing skills
Education and Qualifications:
- Strong English skills required as this is a customer facing position - 7+ years of industry experience Desirable qualifications: - BS Degree in Engineering/Math/Sciences - Manufacture's Expert level certification: CCNP - Router/Switch, or Security; CISSP; CASP - Participation with external professional technical organizations/activities
Additional Information:
Location: Bratislava/Kosice, Slovakia OR Brno, Czech republic Contract: Unlimited Working hours: : flexible with schedules working hours to cover 8am-8pm CET (8am-4pm CET, 12pm-8pm CET) - Must be able to work occasional night/weekend cuts Salary for Slovakia from 2250 € brutto per month. Actual salary is likely to be higher based on skills, knowledge and experience.
