We welcome you to join Philips IGT-Devices as a Director of Upstream Marketing - Peripheral Vascular in our Maple Grove, MN location.

In this role, you have the opportunity to work with a cutting edge product line - IGT Devices is part of the Philips Image Guided Therapy (IGT) business group.

We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated leader that understands how to win in the interventional space. Can you bring a strong skillset of communication and ability to influence management to this role?

As the Director of Upstream Marketing, your passion will lead the global upstream marketing team and PDLM and clinical initiatives for the Peripheral Vascular Business within the Philips Image Guided Therapy Devices (IGTD) business.

You will be responsible for expanding the IGTD portfolio of products and clinical evidence to create and deliver meaningful solutions to accelerate adoption of IGTD peripheral therapies.

You will collaborate closely with global market leads, R&D, clinical and marketing leaders, and the leaders of strategy, clinical, regulatory, and reimbursement.

You will also be responsible for ensuring the Peripheral Vascular business maintains the right cadence of innovation and launches to deliver the ambitious growth expectations of the Peripheral Vascular business.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. Candidates need to live within commuting distance to the Maple Grove facility.

You are responsible for

  • Drive business success via global cross-functional planning and execution– Building commercialization plans and execution for the PV business. Partners closely with North America sales (ZVPs, national accounts, sales analysis), global marketing, reimbursement, clinical, regulatory, customer education, supply chain, quality, legal, marcom, finance and strategy in leading the portfolio and prioritizing key initiatives to drive business growth.
  • Lead and refine pricing strategy – Through analysis of internal and external variables influencing the business, works closely with global sales and marketing partners in developing and running global pricing strategies
  • Create a high performing upstream marketing team – Create, lead and develop a high performance marketing team committed to making a difference for the business and ultimately patients
  • Partnership with VBHC Team – Partner with the value-based health care team in developing key risk sharing and business models supporting the continued global market evolution to value-based healthcare
  • Collaborate with global and internal partners on portfolio prioritization– Participates in global portfolio prioritization process representing critical customer and commercial needs
  • Collaborate with Upstream Marketing in product launches - Works closely with upstream marketing in launching new products globally
  • Responsible for the portfolio – runs the full PV portfolio in the market including forecasting, pricing management and quality
  • Runs the upstream marketing budget – Prioritizes and runs the upstream marketing budget
  • Participate to the Peripheral Vascular Leadership Team – Collaborates and partners with other members of the PV management team in ensuring short term and long term business success. Serves as an important business leader in the organization
  • Cultivate important KOL relationships – Develops KOL relationships and advisors critical to understanding unmet clinical and healthcare business needs and commit to resolve appropriate initiatives driving business success
  • Liaise with global IGTD and IGT strategy and business development partners – Maintains a strong relationship and partnership with marketing, sales, clinical, reimbursement, marketing communications, sales training and customer education partners globally and across IGT.

You are a part of

This position reports to the Vice President and General Manager of the Peripheral Vascular business in Image Guided Therapy Devices business within Philips Healthcare. This position will also be a member of the IGTD and IGT Peripheral Vascular Business Management Teams.

Our solutions combine navigational tools such as catheters and guide wires with advanced software to help confirm the optimal treatment at the point of care: measurement technology, procedure-specific application support and on-board imaging and monitoring with improved anatomical and functional information to optimize therapy delivery.​​

The IGT Devices organization consists of four segments: Peripheral Vascular, Coronary, Lead Management and Electrophysiology.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • 10+ years of professional experience within Upstream Marketing -business management/product management/strategy & innovation/product marketing/consulting within a medical device or healthcare information system regulated business - Peripheral Vascular required
  • MBA preferred
  • Experience in Downstream Marketing
  • Understanding of business strategy, market development, peripheral vascular space and critical role of upstream marketing in cross-functional collaboration in driving business success
  • Self-starter with excellent verbal, written, analytical and presentation abilities
  • Leadership – experience successfully driving the performance and engagement of teams while developing talent capability
  • Experience in clinical evidence development
  • Experience working across organizational boundaries, as well as in a global organization across various cultures and departments
  • Through assessment of intangible variables, identifies and evaluates fundamental issues, providing strategy and direction for major functional areas
  • In-depth knowledge of the functional area, business strategies, and the company’s goals
  • Significant responsibility and operational latitude
  • Interacts internally and externally with executive level management, requiring negotiation of extremely critical matters
  • Collaborative spirit. Given the significant influence management and cross functional team alignment, enjoy working as part of a high performing, enthusiastic team
  • Strong communication in interacting effectively with executives and all levels within the organization
  • Ability to work within a matrixed environment balancing needs of multiple partners
  • International experience; cultural sensitivity
