What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Deal Desk Coordinator is responsible for supporting the sales team by creating, reviewing, and verifying details around negotiated agreements and managing the approval process regarding quoting, bookings, pricing, and agreements. The Senior Deal Desk Coordinator provides Enterprise account management support and works cross-functionally to strategically resolve issues. The Senior Deal Desk Coordinator provides excellent customer service and is detail and process oriented.

Some of the things you will be doing...

  • Be the credible and trusted advisor to the sales team, collaborating on pricing, product, and commercial terms for standard and non-standard deals.
  • Subject matter expert and point of escalation on complex deal and account related questions.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure negotiated deals are documented properly and in alignment with Tableau’s policies.
  • Create, review, verify and approve all incoming contracts and high value and/or non-standard orders for accuracy, including but not limited to confirming contract terms, contact and billing information, pricing, policies, existing legal agreements/pre-existing terms, promotions and purchase order terms and conditions.
  • Creation and fulfillment of custom licensing
  • Lead deals through appropriate approvals from Enterprise Sales Teams and Management, Legal, Accounting, Development and Customer Operations to ensure negotiated deals are in compliance with published strategic sales and business approval policies
  • Use Salesforce, Excel, Tableau and other tools to accurately profile and analyze Enterprise customer accounts to evaluate Customer’s footprint in order to create customized deal structures including quotes, schedules, and amendments that reflect product upgrades, consolidation and co- termination of renewals and add-on orders with varying complexity
  • Drive opportunity management processes to ensure visibility and engagement on deals, supporting regular leadership reporting
  • Create and maintain Special Handling Objects and be subject matter expert on the nuances of Strategic and Enterprise-level customer accounts.
  • Operate as an escalation point to business partners for quote-to-cash operations and ensure compliance with published sales and business approval policies.
  • Establish productive relationships and feedback loops with Legal, Finance, Sales and Operations management to drive internal stakeholder discussions on alignment and deal efficiencies.
  • Mentorship and guidance for junior team members
  • Additional end of month and quarterly responsibilities to support the Sales team
  • Maintain files and customer records
  • Participate in special projects as needed
  • Contribute to process enhancement initiatives

Who you are...

  • Process Oriented. Knowledge of purchasing processes, agreements, purchasing order terms & conditions
  • Strong Communicator. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized & Detail Oriented. Possesses strong organizational and time management skills and is comfortable juggling multiple tasks while meeting service level agreements and deadlines. Strong attention to detail
  • Multi-Tasker. Ability to prioritize well in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Technically Savvy . 2+ years of CRM experience, Salesforce is a plus. Proficient Microsoft Office Skills required, particularly Excel skills. High emotional IQ – anticipates needs of others and proactively offers options/potential solutions and helps to facilitate a successful experience for both internal and external customer (even if original goal is not the outcome)
  • Account Manager. Experience with Enterprise Account Management, Professional Services & Customer/Partner Relationships in the context of Distribution, Referral, VAR, OEM, Enterprise “Special/Exception” arrangements preferred.
  • Contract Manager. Experience with contracts, legal and vendor agreements, including MSLAs, SLAs, etc.
  • Flexible. You are flexible, working varied hours to accommodate volume fluctuations caused by sales cycles, seasonality, varying regional time zones, and end of financial quarters. Demonstrates ability to change direction in response to changing work situations
  • Experienced. 3+ years of relevant Deal Desk, Contract Negotiation, Sales Operations or related experience. 1+ years of experience with e-commerce, credit-card processing, entitlement applications and Electronic Delivery Systems preferred.
  • Educated. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience required.
