Home Based – London & South - with a requirement to be in the Gatwick office on a monthly basis

Salary up to £35,000 subject to experience plus potential 8% bonus and excellent benefits

Position Summary

To accelerate business performance within this exciting channel, the business has created a new position of HoReCa Business Development Manager, responsible for managing the relationship between NWUK and the customer base. Key outputs will be to deliver profitable distribution within the Premium Bar & Restaurant sector, focusing on the international brand portfolio. This role will also be expected to keep abreast of competitor activity and market intelligence within the sector and support with the development of channel strategy to ensure we have the tools we need to win in this area now and in the future.

A day in the life of a Business Development Manager...

In this exciting and dynamic role within Nestle Waters, where no 2 days are the same. You will drive sales with existing key customers, whilst building a pipeline of sales opportunities, through cold calling, networking, e-mail, events and sector specific fairs.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of existing customers in London & the South, with particular focus around our International Brands portfolio & NPD range.
  • Developing the new business plan through successful negotiation and effective implementation of regional group agreements.
  • Collaborate with our Distributor network, building effective relationships through appropriate contact strategy.
  • Close collaboration with Marketing, Category & e-Commerce Teams, focussing on activating the strategic agenda within the HoReCa channel.
  • Cross functional working internally and key stakeholders across Nestle in the Market.
  • Effective Trade Spend management and contract management with regional groups.
What will make you successful

Although a background in sales is not essential, some knowledge of the London market is desirable as well as an understanding of the Restaurants, Bars, Hotels and Catering markets. We are looking for a sales driven, commercially focussed candidate with good market awareness to maximise sales and drive the International Premium Brands portfolio forwards. Experience in New Business Development would be an advantage.

You will have:

  • 2 to 3 years’ commercial experience
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • Be numerate with good understanding of commercials
  • The ability to credibly communicate and influence using reliable data and facts
  • Great business development skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Commercial and financial acumen
