Your Opportunity

The Senior Manager, Banking and Trust Services (BTS) Project Management is responsible for the design, implementation, management and execution of first line of defense program development, design and execution. Develop roadmaps and implementation plans to support roll-out of various Banking/Corporate programs. Build multi-year cutover strategies, monitor roll-out plans and identify risks and issues in meeting business goals. The Sr. Manager, Project Management will report on program readiness and be the liaison between BTS or other enterprises and various Banking and Corporate departments to ensure timely implementation and will coordinate the efficient, timely execution of various project deliverables.

Charles Schwab Banking and Trust Services follows the three lines of defense model of risk governance. The Sr. Manager BTS Project Management is a first line of defense position for Banking and Trust Services and assures compliance with all applicable policies and procedures, and state and federal banking regulations in the context of their responsibilities.

What you’re good at

• Ensure design and implementation of project deliverables and programs overall including, but not limited to, the current Corporate Affiliate Program currently in flight
  • Work with business partners to clearly define requirements for each project deliverable
  • Have a keen sense of regulatory and tax considerations when designing and delivering program requirements
  • Establish clear ownership with defined roles and responsibilities for first line of defense activities within the programs being developed
  • Partner with all lines of business as well as technology partners to clearly understand the objectives, needs and dependencies for each program being established
  • Include second line of defense partners in conversations in governance team meetings to ensure alignment with second line of defense priorities
  • Develop and maintain various program processes and procedures to support overall coordination and alignment with various departments including second line of defense activities and requirements
  • Lead project team and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of program artifacts and supporting documentation
• Meet all program governance and reporting requirements
  • Document, maintain and report on program relationship risk to various sub-committees and other governance forums when appropriate
  • Attend appropriate SLA meetings and review SLA reports for issues and trends that may impact various programs created
  • Ensure relevant, value added reporting on all programs designed and implemented to ensure appropriate reporting is provided to Leadership and the Board when appropriate
• Other Essential Duties include:
• Build strong relationships with business partners to implement, execute, maintain and report on various Program activities
• Ensure BTS remains informed of and compliant with existing and new third party management regulatory guidance and 2nd line requirements
• Participate and provide leadership in BTS Oversight projects as needed

What you have

• 8+ years experience in product or project management
• Solid experience in retail banking (may include sales, service, fulfillment, operations, process, project, and management experience)
• Impeccable attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced heavy workload environment. Requires excellent time management skills to juggle multiple competing priorities
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced experience using MS Office Suite including demonstrated Excel, Power Point and SharePoint skills
• Ability to build strong relationships throughout the organization
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
