Product Manager

Job Description

Job Role & Responsibility:
We are looking for a Product Manager to be part of our NSX team.

Responsible for leading a team of experienced and novice product managers and provide them with guidance, mentorship and lead by example in order to deliver world-class product and solutions. You will decide the best strategy to deliver outstanding results and execute it with your team and your counterparts from engineering, marketing, support and sales. You will be responsible for the product end to end including NSX and all of the related components.

Work closely with development leads and software architects, to design, develop, validate and lead both the strategy as well as the day to day delivery for both client and server side components. Your thinking needs to include every aspect throughout the entire lifecycle, from gathering requirements, crafting technical and functional specifications, coordinating development efforts, through to implementation, marketing, sales and subsequent support.

You will be talking to partners, customers and other internal teams and use their inputs to define the strategy, validate it and write and review functional specifications, work with finance and leadership on business justifications and train the sales and support prior to shipping the product.

Big part of your responsibilities will be to ensure strong relationship and success with the engineering organizations. You need to be able lead prioritization, be comfortable to negotiate compromises with various priorities and have your team follow your examples,

You have strong people management skills and experience. You will help junior members to learn the necessary PM skillset and guide the senior members to the next step in their career.

You a true product leader – mix of technical and business skillset that can cross the isles and can get things done. You understand the needs of your team and people around you and put them above your own.

Knowledge of the SDN is required. You will have a strong networking and enterprise security background.
