Job Summary
VMware is seeking a highly motivated individual to start their career in our channel sales organization. The PBM role is primarily responsible for managing transactional business our partners.
If you have excellent communication skills and can manage relationships with field sales, marketing, partners, suspects and customers this role could be for you!
Job Responsibilities and Key Objectives
• Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and obtain business requirements. Work closely with Partner Business Managers and Territory Managers to determine strategic approach
• Build and develop initial customer relationships
• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of products and services, industry trends, and competition
• Solution selling to the existing VMware partner base
Requirements
• A persistent, self-starter, credible follow-up to multiple levels within an organization
Channel experience would be an advantage but not essential
• Successful experience in HW/SW Inside Sales, preferably in IT or similar industry
• Skills required: Opportunity qualification and objection handling, Call structure and control
• Experience and success working within a revenue quota and commission structure Use instead - (Able to work successfully within a revenue/quota commission structure)
• Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at once, and operate successfully in a rapidly changing environment
Fluent German Language skills required
• Demonstrate the VMware EPIC core values
