The Boeing Company is seeking Software Engineers to join their F-22 program located in St. Louis, Mo. We are seeking software engineers who are interested in DevOps concepts and execution to be on the leading edge of transforming military software development.

The F-22 program is seeking software engineers skilled in the area test and development of COTs tools, development of scripts, and automation of analytic data/test data to aid in the modernization of the OFP Development Environment.

Engineers support multiple Avionics product lines, including flight software, simulations and instrumentation, and will serve as the subject matter experts for the Avionics team for the new development tools and environment.

Candidate will participate in the F22s movement to the 2nd Century Software Development Environment. Candidates must have excellent attention to detail, excel in a collaborative culture, have strong communication skills, and work well in a dynamic environment with often-changing delivery priorities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Strong problem solving, analytical skills, programming languages to take enhancements from conception to production
  • Document and troubleshoot problems
  • Document enhancements
    Participate in the Rapid Capability initiative to build and deliver software with the latest development innovations and tools
  • Development and maintenance of tools, scripts, automated processes that support SCM and developer builds, and SCM delivery processes
  • Standing up AWS Cloud environment
  • Create CI/CD pipeline for software development to enhance OFP deliveries to the test facilities
  • Create training material and train development team on new tools and processes

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. (This position requires an active Interim Secret prior to start with ability to get final Secret U.S. Security Clearance.)

Required Qualifications:

  • UNIX, C++, C, Python or ADA or equivalent languages
  • 1+ years of software Development Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with development on Linux and Windows platforms
  • Experience in SAFe Agile development environment
  • Willing to learn new technologies, coordinate and train these new technologies

Typical Education/Experience:

  • Technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience)
  • In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
