With the strategic acquisition of 21st Century Fox (21CF), The Walt Disney Company established a Technology Integration Management Office (IMO) to enable continuity of the most critical business services pre and post deal closure, ensure Day 1 post deal close readiness, deliver technology and technology-enabled business synergies, and quantify and manage risk. The Technology IMO is comprised of multiple workstreams representing functional areas of the business, including Corporate’s Enterprise Technology domains: Cybersecurity, Business Systems, Enterprise Infrastructure and Cloud Operations, etc.
The Enterprise Infrastructure and Cloud Operations workstream includes 21CF integration teams covering the following key areas:
- Data Centers and Hosting
- Architecture review, integration planning platforms & monitoring, security, management, policies and procedures, vendor contract reviews, technology operations
- Service desk (incl. methodologies), service delivery, change management, incident management, release management, alerting and escalation, CMDB
- Cloud Operations:
- Vendor contract rationalizations for AWS, Azure, Google,
- Ensure code maintenance, account policies, service availability, cloud security
- Network
- Assess the 21CF network topology and integration options
- Procure (where needed), configure, and design network connectivity between Disney and 21CF
- Validate the network connectivity between 21CF and the newly formed Fox Corporation
- Provide network connectivity for physical access needs
- Network separation for shared locations
- Workforce Enablement
- Product roadmaps services: Messaging (including email), Document Collaboration, Video and Voice, Slack, Desktop Support, Critical business application access
- Common product synergies between 21CF to Disney
The 21st Century Fox Integration Program is looking to add people to our team who are focused on delivery, prioritize data-driven decisions over opinions, are continuous learners, are adaptable and able to quickly pivot their focus, and are passionate about their work.
The 21st Century Fox Program Management Office Lead for Enterprise Infrastructure and Cloud Operations, as well as Workforce Enablement, will partner closely with Enterprise Technology leadership, the other workstream project and program managers, and our Finance and HR business partners to execute all aspects of the Program Office.
Responsibilities : - Meeting Facilitation and Preparation
- Facilitate a weekly Enterprise Infrastructure & Cloud Operations integration team meeting to collect and share status, escalate and mitigate blockers/issues/risks, and ensure collaboration and alignment across the workstreams
- Prepare for and coordinate a weekly executive review meeting with integration leadership from both The Walt Disney Company and the newly formed Fox Corporation to quickly mitigate known issues or risks
- Compile and generate weekly status materials to then share broadly with Enterprise Technology senior leadership
- Coordinate and facilitate ad-hoc meetings to address key aspects of the program (high-visibility/critical project status reviews, financial investment/synergy discussions, cross-workstream initiatives requiring alignment, etc.)
- Financial Investment/Synergy Coordination
- Provide oversight and accountability of the Enterprise Infrastructure & Cloud Operations and Workforce Enablement 21st Century Fox one-time integration investment portfolio
- Comprised of roughly 50 projects, totaling ~$13M of investment
- Partner with individual program and project managers to ensure financials are accurately reflected in source systems
- Draft and review Project Approval Requests to ensure business cases are pressure-tested and well-articulated
- Present project overview and usher through the relevant approval processes
- Ensure appropriate costing is in-place for Transition Service Agreements: services provided by The Walt Disney Company to the newly formed Fox Corporation or vice-versa for a defined period of time during the integration/transition
- Partner with Technology Sourcing and Finance partners to understand and analyze total cost of the services being provided
- Work with Enterprise Technology leadership to ensure Transition Service Agreement costs are comprehensive
- Drive a coordinated effort, in partnership with the IMO, to capture and realize synergies (savings) resulting from the integration efforts
- Continuously update forecasted opportunities, based on most recent information collected
- Align synergy opportunities across the workstreams to ensure no duplicative items
- Partner with Finance partners to tie opportunities to budgets and track actual reductions when synergies are realized
- Operational Support
- Coordinate responses to requests for information from the broader IMO or Enterprise Technology senior leadership
- Provide ongoing support for all work related to Transition Service Agreements, the divestiture of 21st Century Fox’s Regional Sports Networks, onboarding backfill resources for vacated 21st Century Fox positions, etc.
Serve as the central point of contact for all questions related to the Enterprise Infrastructure & Cloud Operations and Workforce Enablement workstreams
Basic Qualifications : - At least 5 years professional experience
- PMO experience with emphasis on information technology: At least 4 years managing projects/programs RECENTLY as part of an information technology team or similar function
- Demonstrated financial experience (budget planning, analysis, reporting)
- Experience in executive status reporting, meeting facilitation, and presentation
- Strong communication skills, particularly w/re: ability to provide executive-level status
- A high-level of proficiency is required with MS Office, especially Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Teams
- Accounting/Finance fundamentals
- Experience collaborating and coordinating across teams and geographies in a matrixed environment
- A high-level of attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications: - At least 8 years professional experience
- At least 5 years of project/program management experience
- At least 2 years of finance experience
- PMO experience with Mergers & Acquisitions
- Management or Systems Integration Consulting
- Experience with Corporate Technology functions (Infrastructure, Business Systems, Workplace Services, etc.)
- Passion for the Disney brand
- Experience using tools such as CA PPM Clarity for project portfolio management
Required Education : - 4-year degree in a related field, such as business, economics, information technology or appropriate work experience
Additional Information : - Financial Management: partner with various stakeholders, across multiple workstreams, to draft business cases for and monitor/track the health of the 21CF Integration portfolio (~50 investments); drive a coordinated effort, in partnership with the IMO, to capture and realize synergies (savings) resulting from the integration efforts
- Meeting Facilitation/Preparation: Coordinate and facilitate multiple weekly executive status reviews, as well as ad-hoc discussions on critical projects and programs
- Operational Support: provide ad-hoc responses to requests for information from the broader IMO or senior leadership; serve as the central point of contact for all questions related to the Enterprise Infrastructure & Cloud Operations and Workforce Enablement workstreams
