What’s the opportunity?

C.H. Robinson’s Managed TMS® Services are provided through the TMC division. TMC provides customers with expertise and technology that drive both immediate and sustained cost savings throughout their transportation networks. Core components of this service include Six Sigma-based process engineering, advanced TMS technology and TMS power-users, who serve as an extension of the customer’s staff. In our Managed TMS customers often retain control of transportation service provider selection, transportation service provider contracts, and rate negotiations. TMC is a global division of C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc. with offices in Chicago-USA, Amsterdam-The Netherlands, Shanghai-China, Mumbai- India and Wroclaw-Poland. Over the past 15 years, TMC has exceeded customer expectations for savings, productivity, supply chain improvements and carbon footprint reduction.
Today, TMC has over 400 employees, $3.4 billion in freight and we have been around for 18 years.
The Regional Program Manager is responsible to lead, coordinate and communicate all 4PL initiative across the EOC Supply Chain working both internal and external stakeholders. In addition to the 4PL, the customer desires to transform their supply chain to be cost competitive and integrate activities across the different growth centers. This role is responsible to help create visibility, lead projects, support projects and support overseeing customer internal activities to ensure TMC is a valuable partner.

What will you be doing?

  • Responsible for the launch and on-going management of the client 4PL program and serve as an escalation point and actively lead and report to the Account Manager and appropriate stakeholders
  • Align with client EOC leadership and TMC EOC Management for project approval, alignment, and monitoring
  • Support the discovery, design, testing, implementation, and monitoring of continuous improvement
    initiatives
  • Work with internal and external leadership to align TMC’s technical and operational capabilities to customer’s goals and requirements
  • Collaborate with IT, business process experts, and other subject matter experts to achieve defined objectives to innovate, deliver and support the clients 4PL roll out
  • Hold project owners and contributing team members accountable to timelines
  • Understand key processes such as demand management, procurement, forecasting, scheduling, warehouse management, procurement and continuous improvement
  • Work with TMC stakeholders to evolve new services
  • Work with TMC engineering resources on logistics analysis and engineering studies
  • Resource alignment, education and escalation
  • Lead and coach TMC Account team personnel on project, Launch and Security programs
  • Assess and improve the capability of each team member
  • Foster a continuous improvement culture that is representative of TMC's values

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred
  • Supply chain industry experience is required
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast paced environment
  • Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
  • Collaborative and adaptive style required to be successful in this role
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates ability to design, develop and deliver presentations for internal and external audiences
  • Demonstrates skill of managing internal and external customer expectations
  • Comprehensive understanding of operational excellence methodologies
  • Proven track record for delivering continuous improvement results
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to pick up new complex information systems quickly
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects efficiently and effectively with superb attention to detail
  • Demonstrates ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Up to 25% travel may be required (domestic and/or international)
