The Director/Senior Director Corporate Accounting directs aspects of international accounting operations and financial managements. Must be a self-starter and work with limited direction while takes full ownership of the areas of responsibility and provides solutions and alternatives.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness and reasonableness of various financial statements and reports for senior management and corporate accounting
- Coordinate and communicate with the accounting/finance teams of the Company’s subsidiaries (foreign and domestic) and outside service providers
- Assist with the day-to-day financial activities and international operations
- Interface with external auditors of the foreign subsidiaries for local compliance and other local requirements
- Act as the business partners with Legal, HR, Tax, and other functions to establish structure for new international operations
- Provide assistance and support with new entities formation process (initial research, engaging with local providers, supporting the set up and post establishment phase, setting up local banks)
- Utilize your analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues and drive process improvements
- Perform technical accounting research to ensure compliance with US GAAP and/or local GAAP as applicable
- Play a leading role in new accounting system implementation & projects.
- Implement best practices and ensure compliance with US GAAP, local GAAP and policies and procedures
Requirements
- CPA with Big 4 public accounting experience
- 12+ years of relevant experience
- Related professional experience including a minimum of 8-years’ experience in a managerial position
- Strong GAAP skills in revenue recognition, lease accounting, fixed assets and inventory
- Technical accounting research and documentation skills
- Knowledge of accounting and enterprise business system
- Self-directed and hands-on, able to work with minimal supervision
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to travel up to 20%
Preferences
- Experience in Oracle ERP System
- Experience in telecommunication or technology industries
