What we're looking for:

As the Senior Manager, SAP Netweaver Operations you will be working with senior management to define and execute strategic plans to align with business goals. You will also be responsible for strategic direction, fostering innovation and providing technical guidance and architectural roadmaps. You will need to coordinate and collaborate with business groups and development & test teams to ensure that the SAP environment is stable, secure, up-to-date, and adhering to SOX controls. In addition you will be responsible for coordinating patching, support packs, hardware upgrades, issue resolution, expense control, and budgetary planning.

Your primary job responsibilities will be:

  • Owning oversight of the SAP platform including: designing solutions, demand management, ensuring quality and consistency across the platform, maintaining SOX controls and keeping in compliance with auditing, operating in accordance to OLAs and SLAs, managing budgets, and leading gap analysis
  • Directly managing a team of IT professionals across the globe and staying abreast of technology and industry best practices and ensuring that skill set/knowledge base remains current across the team
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with business partners, working closely with the business to develop short and long-term strategies that align with corporate objectives
  • Conveying the vision, managing change and motivating others; applying broad knowledge and understanding of industry and technology trends and the business impacts of decisions
  • Participating in defining development processes including design process and quality practices, software estimation, coding standards, technical documentation, build and configuration management; ensuring that standard policies, procedures and best practices are followed
  • Managing relationships with external vendors including establishing service agreements, SOWs, contracts, and review and approval of invoices

As a Senior Manager it's important that you remember to:

  • Participate in creating a culture where employees are highly motivated, energetic, excited, and enthusiastic
  • Determine the need for and define new job roles/descriptions to meet business needs
  • Supervise individual contributors in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Conduct interviews, hire individual contributors and provide employee training
  • Manage career path, coach and provide career development advice
  • Identify and fulfill formal and informal training needs to keep the team’s skillset up-to-date
  • Work with employees to create performance and development goals that align with the business goals and conduct employee performance reviews
  • Address performance issues and provide ongoing and corrective feedback in a timely and constructive manner. Mitigate team conflict through coaching and conflict resolution practices
  • Manage staff scheduling to meet business goals including work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, back‐up for absent employees, and shift rotations
  • Coordinate with senior management in planning for appropriate staffing levels

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or related field is preferred, with a minimum of 8 years of directly related work experience or a master’s degree with 5 years of directly related work experience.
  • Proven management skills and experience leading multi-discipline, high-performance work teams of technical professionals.
  • Demonstrated capability in recruiting, developing, and managing high performance teams.
  • Exceptional verbal/written communication skills.
  • Experience with building strong working relationships with staff members, colleagues and business partners at various levels, up to the most senior levels within the enterprise.
  • Vendor management including effective negotiation skills.
  • Experience in leading the development and delivery of multiple software projects on schedule.
  • Significant experience with the software development lifecycle, processes, product development, and project management methodologies and tools; experience in Agile methodologies highly desired.
  • Excellent planning, forecasting, estimating, scheduling and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of business process management, process improvement, workflow, and integration methods and tools. A strong understanding of Citrix products, strategies, business areas, and operations is desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate vision, mission, goals and presentations of complex financial and business information to a diverse audience.
