You: As a Partner Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for building out Apptio’s cloud partner marketing strategy and plan. You’ll quickly develop an informed point of view on key areas of impact and build targeted programs that drive partner marketing pipeline through Apptio cloud partnerships. You thrive on building relationships, are an excellent communicator and excel at working with cross-functional teams. You’re passionate about partner marketing, generating qualified leads and pipeline, and you continuously measure, track and report out on results. With your results-oriented focus, you navigate through ambiguity and have a bias for action. What we want you to do:

Responsibilities:

  • Develop cloud partner marketing strategy, plan and goals, and work with cross-functional marketing and partner teams to execute
  • Create and launch programs aligned with marketing cloud campaign to drive new opportunities through cloud partners, including webinars, events, joint prospecting, content syndication, etc.
  • Work with Apptio partner team and sales teams to understand territory and account needs, partner landscape, gaps and opportunities.
  • Develop and update partner marketing collateral, including datasheets and presentations
  • Enable sales team and field marketing team on partner marketing programs to drive partnership and engagement
  • Establish relationships and ongoing communications with marketing leaders at partner organizations to develop co-marketing strategies and plans
  • Work with BDR/SDR teams to support partner marketing lead follow up and opportunity development
  • Measure and regularly report on success of partner marketing programs. Calibrate programs as needed to achieve quarterly pipeline targets.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a partner marketing role, preferably at a B2B technology company
  • 7+ years of marketing experience
  • Progressive experience in building and executing successful partner marketing programs and events that drive demand
  • Demonstrated ability to build highly effective working relationships with partner teams, partners and marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree with a Marketing or Business focus preferred
  • Ability to travel

Qualifications:

Knowledge

  • Experience in cloud and working with all types of partners, particularly cloud providers preferred
  • Ability to quickly analyze and solve problems and overcome blockers
  • Experienced in translating complex technology into clear value propositions for use across a variety of marketing mediums
  • Understanding of B2B sales cycle and how to identify opportunities to maximize demand creation, pipeline contribution and sales opportunity acceleration through partners

Skills

  • Experience with sales and marketing automation, such as Marketo and Salesforce.com
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver effective presentations and write clear, compelling marketing copy
