Community & Quality Operations Associate (6 month contract role) - Chegg Tutors (San Francisco, CA or Santa Clara, CA or Portland, OR)

The Community Operations Team at Chegg Tutors is responsible for ensuring we have the right tutors available and ready to help students learn and thrive. We’re looking for a Community & Quality Operations Associate to support our team with the execution of various supply focused initiatives, including quality assurance, marketplace concierge services and tutor operations & administration.

The Role

Our ideal candidate is expected to quickly gain an understanding of the Chegg Tutors product, team initiatives and processes and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You possess strong organizational skills, are curious and diligent, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. You’re conscious of the tasks at hand and recognize when there’s additional work to be done - you’re self-directed and take initiative. You’re a multi-tasker and problem solver, with a plug-and-play mentality who enjoys being hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular quality assurance audits to keep a pulse on our tutor and vendor quality and share findings as actionable feedback with various stakeholders involved.
• Monitor demand in real time to capture failed requests and match users with available tutors based on subject expertise and availability.
• Perform schedule adherence checks for our partner tutors and swiftly address coverage gaps by communicating with partner leads, to ensure seamless coverage in our services.
• Serve as direct point of contact for tutors to field questions, troubleshoot issues, coordinate site requests and overall ensure a continuous and smooth marketplace experience.
• Work closely with the team managers to provide regular status updates and report on issues as they arise.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.S/B.A.) or equivalent work experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Task oriented and self-directed with the ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
• Able to remain detail-oriented while working at high volume.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Technical aptitude and the ability to pick up new technology quickly
• Strong capabilities in the G-Suite and/or Microsoft Office (Excel)
• Available and flexible to work evenings and weekends if needed.
• Available to work up to 40 hours a week at our Santa Clara HQ, San Francisco Office or Portland Office. If located in San Francisco or Santa Clara, you are open to occasional travel between both office locations.
