Come and join us! Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join our Data Center Group (DCG) as a Ethernet Platform Application Engineer in an exciting technical role working with Intel Ethernet IP in SoC products, engaging with internal development teams and external customers!

The System on a Chip Applications Engineering group (SoC AE), within the Communications & Storage Infrastructure Group (CSIG)'s Networking Division (ND), is looking for a Product Applications Engineer who would provide support Ethernet functionality in System-on-Chip (SoC) products for servers class products, both Atom(tm) and Xeon(tm). You will provide product level HW support for Tier 1 customers. Common duties would include ownership and resolution of technical issues, participating in new product development, reviewing customer designs and provide design-in guidance, representing the customer's technical needs, collaborating with other ND and SoC Engineering disciplines, and in general contribute toward making the customer successful. You may also develop technical collateral including application notes to provide clarity for implementation or specific usage and develop/present technical product training materials. Individuals act as technical experts, consultants, analysts, and program managers. You will also respond to customer requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with customers of all skill levels (novice thru expert).

Previous experience with design schematic and layout reviews.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent with 3 plus years of related experience, or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent with 2 plus years of related experience.

- 3 plus years of technical background experience in networking architecture and networking products - preferably with Intel Ethernet products (LOMs or adapters).

- 3 plus year of experience in design and/or validation of networking products as LOMs, adapters, mezzanines, or embedded form factors.

- 3 plus years of experience with direct customer interaction in technical support role.

- 3 plus years of experience in troubleshooting, problem solving, multi-tasking, organization, and customer management skills.

- Some travel may be required (10%) - domestic and international as appropriate based on customer needs.

Additional Preferred Qualifications :

- Master’s Degree is preferred.

- 2 plus years of experience with defect tracking applications

- 2 plus years of experience with CDI or Anacapa.
