Engineer Technician

Job Description
LYA electrical engineering technicians are responsible for technical functions in support of engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modifications, and characterization of assembly technologies. They conduct engineering tests to collect data and assist in research and development work. Assignments are varied in nature and require a high degree of technical understanding of the back-end assembly and substrate manufacturing disciplines. Some degree of judgment is required in resolving non-standard problems. Candidates will work closely with engineers in a collaborative environment. In this position, you will be responsible for working with yield engineers to characterize new assembly and substrate technologies as well as determining the root cause of electrical defects on both products and test vehicles.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
-Candidate must possess an Associates's degree in a STEM (science, technology, engineering or mathematics), a Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent military training.
-Minimum of 6 months of experience working in a hands on laboratory setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
-6 months or more of experience with analysis techniques such as cross section, delayering, SEM/EDX, X-ray and optical inspection.
-6 months or more of experience performing electrical circuit fault isolation using techniques such as hand probe, curve trace, or ELITE.
-Previous experience with Microsoft Office and basic statistcal analysis.
