Compiler Engineer

Job Description

The Intel Compiler Team is looking for an exceptional Compiler Engineer to join our highly talented team.

In this position, the successful candidate will be developing innovative compiler technology to deliver the best performance and usability features for our customers. You will be unleashing the power of Intel's latest hardware features with cutting edge compiler techniques and optimizations.

Some of the job responsibilities include:

  • Performance analysis of applications
  • Development of new compiler features and optimizations

This position involves work on a U.S. Government contract which may impose certain security requirements: If you are a U.S. citizen, the government may require that you certify your citizenship. If you are not a U.S. citizen, the government may require you to pass a security check before you can be approved to work on the project. Please note that any offer by Intel for this position is conditioned upon meeting and/or passing the U.S. government's security check requirements should the government impose these requirements.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavior skills:

  • Strong communication skills

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Requirements:

You must have a Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.

1+ years of experience with:

  • C/C++
  • Object oriented programming
  • Data structures
  • Compiler theory

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with AVX instruction sets, vectorization, or other compiler optimizations.

Experience with LLVM compiler infrastructure.
