Job Description

HP Personal Systems is among the PC market leaders for Public Sector accounts. We are looking for a new leader of the Public Sector Sales Team in Personal Systems for Germany.

What will be your responsibilities:?

  • Strategic sales planning & implementation (orchestrating the development of strategic business initiatives that reflect HP's business strategy, to advance market share/penetration, and achieve profitable growth).
  • Account planning and pipeline management within the overall public sector strategy (building business plans and strategies, driving sales activities, building & monitoring sales pipeline).
  • Business acumen and competitive positioning/strategy (exhibiting base level of business, financial and legal acumen to develop meaningful business recommendations within HP's strategy)
  • Leading & managing our Public sales team (coaching & performance management, leadership, driving people development)
  • Change management (working through an environment of change and effectively leading a sales team through transitions beyond their control)
  • Focus on strategic direction (understanding the overall HP strategic direction and portfolio, and can assist sales teams in customizing solutions based on client needs).
  • C-level partnering (contributing to enduring executive relationships at the client's organization).
  • Consultative selling (strategizes and coaches team on how to apply consultative-selling techniques to identify and advance opportunities that result in ongoing profitable revenue growth for HP).
  • Known as industry and client expert (current with industry and competitive research, maintaining an understanding of public sector business challenges, industry trends and markets)

What do we expect?

  • University or Bachelor's degree in business management.
  • Typically 7+ years’ experience in sales (ideally in Personal Systems).
  • Management experience (optional) and sustainable work results including proven success in achieving progressively higher sales related goals.
  • Demonstrated level of sales management skills (strategic account leadership, sales facilitation).
  • Business Management expertise and skills (strategic planning, business plan execution, forecast/budget control, pipeline management).
  • Team leadership & development skills (supervision, coaching, skill development/enhancing, career planning & development).
  • Proven consultative selling skills.
  • Proven change management skills
  • Strong and proven communication and presentation skills (especially on C-Level).
  • Fluent in German and English.
