The TripAdvisor Localization team is seeking an experienced Group Program Manager to drive Global QA initiatives across 28 languages and 49 POS to ensure we deliver a great user experience for travellers all around the world. You will lead discussions around how we operationalize and institutionalize Global QA on all platforms, act as a strategic and influential partner to all relevant teams, and lead the Global QA team that helps ensure a quality localized experience. On the Localization team, you will own initiatives that directly impact millions of travellers around the world. The Group Program Manager will report to the Senior Director of Localization and will be based in London.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead all Global QA initiatives for the 28 languages and 49 non-English POS available on TripAdvisor on all platforms ensuring all localization issues are reported. This means planning the Global QA schedule within agreed priorities and budget, managing execution through your team, managing the QA vendor, forecasting, reporting, removing blockers, capturing and analysing data, identifying trends and root causes, and working with teams to address recurring issues and put preventative measures in place.
  • Advocate for global to be part of every decision made at TripAdvisor
  • Manage, optimize and innovate all aspects of Global QA; KPI, planning, execution, reporting, vendor, internal team
  • Develop scalable processes in a high volume environment
  • Communicate clearly, proactively and transparently, resolve conflict and pursue feedback quickly and effectively
  • Measure and track success on a regular basis to ensure that all projects and existing functionality are moving toward defined goals
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business unit teams including Product, Engineering, User Research, Analytics, Legal, Content, Customer Support, PR and other stakeholders across TripAdvisor
  • You will also seek out unmet needs, size and prioritize those needs, identify and evaluate solutions, and implement them.
  • Represent TripAdvisor at relevant industry conferences
  • Contribute to overall TripAdvisor Localization team initiatives to identify technology, process and tool improvements, efficiency opportunities and drive their implementation

What we are looking for:

  • Experience of successfully developing, implementing and managing a measurable Global QA strategy in the online space in 20+ languages
  • Online localization management experience, specifically on internationalization, is a plus
  • Consistent track record of executing cross-functional initiatives, ensuring multiple projects are completed in an appropriate and timely manner
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and implement effective action plans to resolve issues
  • Working knowledge of JIRA bug tracking and Confluence, or related tools and ticketing systems
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively and efficiently articulate both strategic vision and specific details to various stakeholders, from senior leadership to individual contributors
  • Strong influencing skills and able to credibly challenge status-quo to deliver best practice solutions
  • Must ensure that projects within areas of specific responsibility are completed in an appropriate and timely manner, acknowledging mistakes, learning from them and always moving forward productively
  • Strong team management and vendor management experience
  • Must be great team player that works well in collaborative situations
  • Must exercises good business judgment when making decisions and always consider the relevance/impact of each decision on the business
  • Detail-focused and hands-on
  • Fluency in languages other than English is preferred but not required
