Deployment Services is part of the Global Support and Deployment Services organization and is focused on delivering world class services to help our customers maximize value of Dell EMC Storage, Data Protection and Converged Solutions. Our service Portfolio consists of implementation (design & planning, installation & implementation, configuration & integration, upgrade & expansion), data migration and residency services. The Dell EMC Senior Engineer, Service Delivery is responsible for deploying storage and SAN solutions from and installation and implementation perspective: tuning, troubleshooting, remote management, administration and support Dell EMC Storage and Converged solutions. Added

A Senior Engineer, Service Delivery is expected to be a trusted advisor to clients and to strive to build strong relationships within business as well as to promote a true technology and high-performance culture. The role will be expected to work in a positive and collaborative fashion with fellow team members, senior engineering/architect staff, vendors, and customers.​

Key Responsibilities

  • Based on account requirements install & deploy new components, ensure they are “operation ready”
  • Provides technical leadership during the implementation of an engagement. Participate in the installation, customization, and integration of a Dell EMC solution.
  • Participates in the design and operational execution of the customer's disaster recovery process as required.
  • Performs necessary storage infrastructure maintenance and necessary data migration, as required
  • Based on constant research highlight areas of improvement in the environment. Provides proactive recommendations to the customer for improving their use of Dell EMC storage solutions to help maximize their satisfaction with Dell EMC. Support Operations and provide technical advises on multiple Dell EMC SAN/NAS products
  • Develops strategies, policies and best practices for the customer.
  • Be a team player, offload/take over tasks from Solutions architect. Actively contributes to the configuration, layout and performance tuning of Dell EMC products.
  • Provides assistance to other colleagues and Dell EMC technical teams in the development of custom solutions and implementation preparation.
  • Communicate with stake holders from customer end on relevant aspects which need coordination.
  • Act as a conduit between onsite staff and SME on SEV1&2 cases.

SKILLS

  • Experience with deploying, configuring and managing Dell EMC storage and DPS solutions: VNX (Block and File), VMAX, VMAX3, PowerMax, Unity (Block and File), Recover Point, Isilon, VPLEX, XtremIO, Centera, ECS, SRM, Networker, Avamar, Data Domain
  • Experience with configuring & managing SAN fabrics (Fibre Channel & iSCSI) with Brocade and/or Cisco
  • Specialist certification in relevant technology /product
  • Proficiency in hardware, software and/or operating systems environments.
  • Ability to influence others to achieve results.
  • Excellent time and Organizational skills, problem solving skills, customer focused.
  • Very good English and Spanish language skills (written and verbal)
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
