Job Description
At Airtable, we believe that software stands to be the single most impactful way anyone can bring their ideas to life, yet few people have access to it as a creative medium. Airtable enables everyone to experience the power of creating, not just using, software. We have customers from every industry, in every function, who are making, building, and doing more on Airtable for almost any use case you can imagine. We want to empower everyone in the world to create.
Marketing is critical to achieving this goal. Airtable is looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own email and Lifecycle Marketing strategy, experimentation and optimization. As a highly analytical, deeply collaborative and user-focused marketer, you’ll be responsible for evaluating and implementing our Marketing systems, partnering with Data Science to track, maintain and optimize our most important Marketing channels, and working closely with Product Marketing to create onboarding, engagement and retention campaigns to increase customer conversion and expansion. You will be a key player in a new center of excellence that we’re building in the Marketing organization at Airtable.
What you'll do
- Partner closely with the Marketing team to gather user insight about high priority audiences. Leverage that insight to create, execute, and iterate on a Lifecycle Marketing strategy to acquire new users and increase retention.
- Get to know and understand our customer funnel and lifecycle. Partner closely with data science and Product Marketing to identify gaps and uncover opportunities to improve KPIs across the funnel.
- Develop and oversee lead generation and nurture tactics to assist sales, connecting the dots between the sales process and the customer lifecycle.
- Own day to day management and optimization of our Lifecycle Marketing channels (email to start, quickly expanding into initiatives like welcome kits, etc).
- Drive growth through rigorous experimentation and analysis.
- Leverage existing tools (and help build new ones!) to monitor the efficacy and health of our email and other Marketing campaigns. Regularly report on KPIs (like deliverability, opens, clicks, activity lift, revenue lift etc.) to the Marketing team and the executive team.
- Identify key opportunities for innovation. Build a pipeline of Lifecycle Marketing experiments that you will launch, measure and iterate on.
- Deliver insights to partner teams like Marketing, Product, Sales and Success, Engineering and Design.
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in Lifecycle Marketing or Marketing operations
- Strong business acumen and quantitative analytical skills. Experience with SQL a plus!
- Experience creating successful nurture and engagement strategies, running A/B tests, and optimizing customer funnels through experimentation.
- Scrappy and resourceful when facing challenges of all types i.e. “no problem too small, no problem too large”.
- Bonus points if you have familiarity with freemium or self-serve business models.
- Low ego, collaborative, and a fast learner.
- A mission-driven marketer and creative problem-solver. You are attracted to tackling big, complex problems (read: opportunities!).
What we offer
- Health care: we have you 100% covered (and your dependents 50% covered) with competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance. You'll also be eligible for a complimentary membership to One Medical Group.
- Learning & Development: we offer a $2,000 per year stipend for your personal career development
- Gym Membership: We’re proud to provide employees in our San Francisco and New York offices with complimentary gym memberships to Equinox, or up to $100/month reimbursement towards any other gym.
- Catered lunches: We have high-quality catered lunches every day and well-stocked kitchens. We'll also reimburse you for any reasonable food expenses incurred while working.
- Generous PTO, sick leave, and parental leave
