RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Global Investment Research (GIR) provides investment recommendations by generating fundamental research and analysis of economies, markets, industries and companies. GIR analysts help our clients achieve superior returns by seeking to develop creative, differentiated investment insights and ideas. Our clients include asset managers, hedge funds, mutual funds, and pension funds, among others. We are seeking an associate / vice president to join the Macro Research Global Economics team within GIR London. The Macro Research group focuses on the intersection between economics and financial markets across a wide class of assets including equities, options, rates, credit, mortgages, currencies, and commodities.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES - Generating unique, thematic written research

Development and support of econometric models - Communicating market views with external clients as well as sales and tradingPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSTraining in macroeconomic analysis and/or econometrics at a MsC or PhD level

Ideally, some experience with a public policy or financial institution Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detail and strong organizational skillsExceptional analytical skills, lateral thinking, and judgmentA proactive approach and the ability to meet aggressive deadlines
