Okta’s rapid growth and product innovation have contributed to our leadership position in the market for identity and access management. Today we sell our broad portfolio of solutions to the largest companies in the world, and to optimize for this market we need experienced product marketers who can go beyond point products to identifying overall customer problems and how Okta solves those problems across our product lines.

This solutions marketing role is highly strategic and cross-functional, focusing on messaging and go-to-marketing initiatives for the world’s largest organizations, while enabling the field, solving for new pricing scenarios, collaborating with business development on partnerships and partnering with corporate marketing to target the right buyers and influencers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement solution messaging and positioning for Okta’s workforce products; working with all relevant functions to execute. Champion solution positioning, strategic technology and channel partner engagement, validate market messaging, and evangelize Okta solutions offerings both internally and externally.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the identity and access management market space, products and service offerings, including overall value proposition, features, functionality, competitive landscape and the verticals and use cases where they are relevant.
  • Work alongside the product marketing team to understand the identity challenges of the world’s largest organizations, and how all of Okta products come together to solve those problems.
  • Deliver key messages that enable our go-to-market teams to execute relevant strategic campaigns and programs.
  • Collaborate on plans and build support content for state of the art digital and field-based demand generation programs that result in pipeline for the sales organization.
  • Provide “in deal” support to sales team to help solve customer problems with the broader Okta solutions set.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Required:

  • 2+ years of product management, solutions marketing or product marketing experience for an enterprise-focused software, SaaS, or web services company.
  • Proven track record of marketing to a highly technical audience within large organizations. You must be comfortable working with and marketing to technical buyers within enterprises.
  • Proven track record of creating industry and/or solutions-specific messaging and content.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Passion for measurement, metrics and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Project management skills, can manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field. MBA a plus.
