Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries (MMBSI) is a Commercial Banking business located in 101 offices across the US and Canada. MMBSI provides credit, cash management, capital markets and corporate finance advisory solutions to corporations, municipalities and not-for-profit entities via our Core Banking or Specialized Industries teams. Core Banking teams generally focus on clients with annual revenues of $20 million to $500 million. Within our Specialized Industries practice, we have experts strategically focused on serving businesses within a variety of industry segments, including, but not limited to: Agribusiness, Government, Healthcare and Technology and Life Sciences. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As the Market Executive for the Technology & Disruptive Commerce (TDC) banking team, you will focus on managing a team of Technology bankers, as well as maintaining and growing banking relationships in your region. The TDC Banking team focuses on companies at very early stages of development, venture capital and private equity backed, through small cap public and larger companies up to $750 million in valuation. Our local delivery model, coupled with the firm’s global resources, allows us to provide clients with customized, comprehensive solutions and exceptional service at every stage of development.
Your responsibilities will include hiring and directing team members in their business development efforts to attract and expand banking relationships with TDC Companies. The Mountain Region includes bankers and associates, Credit, a business management associate, treasury sales officers and client service professionals. You will be expected to maintain a portfolio of your own, while leading the banking team. However, the portfolio size is typically smaller in recognition of management responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
• BA/BS degree required; MBA preferred
• 10+ years of proven leadership, management, execution and influencing skills with a demonstrated track record developing talent and partnering across business lines.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Commercial Banking’s business model, products, and clients
• Excellent client relationship skills; successful at delivering the entire firm to the client
• In-depth knowledge of financing, credit originations, and deal underwriting
• Outstanding professional reputation both inside and outside of the bank
• Strategic thinker who supports the goals and direction of the firm
• Ability to partner across lines of businesses and leverage internal resources
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and control framework
• Proven leadership, management, and client relationship skills, as well as extensive industry and product knowledge, and strong transaction execution skills
• FINRA securities licenses 79 and 63 are required for the position; however, unlicensed candidates will be considered and will need to obtain licenses (have 90 days from start date per license) to stay in the role
