Job Description
The primary responsibility of the Operations Shift Coordinator is to assure that teams perform operational related functions, along with other related duties, meeting established rates using specified processes and procedures. An associate may be cross-trained to work in various departments within or outside of Operations as needed or based on organizational needs.
Essential Functions of Job: (Could include, but not limited to)
- S upport team to ensure operational performance following established company and industry standard operating procedures
- Responsible for updating and publishing team metrics for all KPI’s
- Responsible to see that inventory is delivered/transacted for Customer Support functions
- Partner with leadership in the ongoing development of their team
- Responsible for achieving all operational metrics concerning safety, inventory, performance, and quality by using the feedback, labor management and process adherence tools
- Ensure that the order processing is performed properly through all facets in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensures that communication with business partners (Chicago team, Ops team) is timely and concise
- Ensures that Inventory Control performed audits are done properly, timely, and accurately per defined process
- Perform root cause analysis and communicate reasons regularly
- Follow all Company, state and OSHA safety rules, policies and regulations to ensure safe working practices, including proper work attire; reporting safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel
- Comply with all Company Loss Prevention policies and procedures, including proper work attire
- Maintain regular and acceptable attendance as set by Groupon Goods
- Maintain a flexible work schedule and adhere to the requirement of working any designated shift and overtime as requested per business and operational needs
- Pro-actively respond to direction from leadership team, management staff and other cross-functional leaders
- Provide high quality internal and external customer service per company standards
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Familiarity with WMS inventory control processes or previous experience using similar applications.
- Functional with MS Office products, especially Excel and Word.
- Familiarity of warehouse layout or the ability to learn layout.
- Ability to operate RF terminals and UI screens to successfully lead the operational team in the warehouse.
- Ability to support team members to perform Operational functions using preferred methods.
- Basic math skills and demonstrate an ability to match numbers.
- Ability to be cross-trained in other cross functional areas.
- Ability to understand other functions of the business as they apply to position.
- Ability to work closely and effectively with others in a way that promotes teamwork.
- Possess a positive and enthusiastic demeanor
Working Conditions:
- Moderate but varying temperature and humidity in office and warehouse environments .
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, sit, squat, lift and /or walk for the duration of the scheduled shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a continuous basis
