This position is for a Customer Engineering – Modifications, Account Manager with Boeing Global Services (BGS).
The Account Manager role is the prime technical Interface between the Customer, Sales, Production & Aftermarket Services Program.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understand and manage technical configuration requirements for Modification Services and Freighter Program Business Units within BGS
Work with Business units to ensure the Customers’ technical requirements are understood and also represent the Business Units interests with BGS Sales, BCA Airplane Programs and the Customers
The Account Manager Role is primarily focused on technical configuration requirements during the initial phase of any Modification change
Monitor Modification project progress to ensure Customer satisfaction and provide awareness to the BGS Sales teams of any Customer issues
Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
Performs analysis for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, system security and regulatory factors.
Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements within management processes to identify risk, issues and opportunities.
Resolves cross-functional technical issues
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
The successful candidate will have the following education, skills and abilities:
Experience working with customers (aftermarket service engineering, customer support engineering, etc.)
Experience with avionics and/or interiors domain
Must be flexible to support customer changes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate to all levels of individuals
Experience with MS Office
Experience with Boeing tools such as: BCS (Boeing Communication System), REDARS, WIRS, Configurator (customer configuration tool)
Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally
