Checkr is looking for an experienced information technology (IT) professional to manage and develop our technical support engineering team. In this role you’ll focus on enabling our internal users to do their best work by maximizing their productivity in a secure and stable environment. You will solution and resolve technical IT problems, build and configure hardware, install and support applications, and assist with other corporate engineering functions to include system administration, application and infrastructure management, and audio/video. You will also contribute to protecting Checkr and the people who trust us with their information and safety, as part of the Trust & Security team. What a typical week may look like at Checkr:

  • Manage and mentor a team of Technical Support Engineers, including setting goals, assigning tasks, and providing feedback on deliverables
  • Track team and individual productivity with support and performance metrics, inform team growth planning
  • Work closely with other leaders on strategy, tactical planning and operational execution of Corporate Engineering roadmap, initiatives and goals
  • Contribute to internal knowledge base and self-service IT content
  • Build and iterate on executive support processes and procedures
  • Assist with other Corporate Engineering functions as needed (system administration, application and infrastructure management, hardware, audio/video, etc.)

What you bring:

  • 6+ years of experience working in IT/Corporate Engineering support or operations
  • Natural leadership skills
  • Strong creative problem-solving abilities
  • Enjoy working with and communicating clearly and concisely (verbal and written) with people
  • Experience building and improving on existing policies and procedures on a fast growing team
  • Familiar working with macOS, Windows, Linux, Android and iOS devices and hardware.

Brownie points:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, tasks, people and in a fast paced startup environment
  • Experience with SaaS and PaaS solutions
  • Participated in new office build-out process (planning, implementation, launch)
  • Provided direct IT support to executives/VIPs and their support staff
