The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentive Plan units, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
Austin Base Salary Range: 70,000 - 90,000 USD
Your job: The Data Insights Analyst is an internal facing role committed to assisting Indeed Prime’s Operations, Strategy, Marketing, Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Talent Services teams make data-informed decisions. This individual will work closely with different members of Prime and others throughout the greater Indeed team to gather the necessary data and organize it into a valuable format.
The Data Insights Analyst is part of the Data team working within Prime’s Business Operations & Strategy. This group empowers other teams to make critical decisions quickly and confidently by building self-service tools, cleaning and organizing data, and providing ad hoc research and analysis to allow non-technical stakeholders to leverage our data meaningfully.
Responsibilities
- Python Coding to build and maintain reports, dashboards, tools, and visualizations. Using Python, Pandas, and Numpy to help your stakeholders improve their performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Product, Client Services, and other teams to inform decisions through meaningful data deliverables.
- Turn business requirements into technical requirements.
- Perform statistical analysis and ad hoc research for campaigns, product features and other company initiatives
- Able to synthesize data and research into clear and concise proposals for stakeholders
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of processes post-implementation to ensure continued efficacy and impact.
- Provide data analysis and support to expedite workflows, automate processes, and improve the precision of manual processes where needed.
- Mentor associates and other junior team members.
- Support the development of training materials including documenting new processes.
About you: Requirements
- Advanced SQL experience required. Must have the ability to write complex, highly-optimized queries across large volumes of data. Should be familiar with all types of joins, subqueries, window functions, non-join functions, views, stored procedures. Also should understand how to optimize table structure and database schema to provide the best customer experience, know when to use 3rd form normalization vs denormalized tables/views
- Intermediate Python programming skills. Ability to quickly cleanse, manipulate, and present data using Pandas, Numpy and associated libraries. Understanding of how to pull data from multiple outside sources and combine them into a single matrix. Solid understanding of functional and object oriented programming concepts. Experience using Pandas and Numpy to perform and automate statistical analysis. Ability to combine good code and sound judgement to provide useful self-service data tools and views
- Industry experience in a report development, data science, business analytics, business intelligence, consulting or comparable data engineering role, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques and technology.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and comfort presenting to all levels of the business
- Ability to explain complicated or technical information to non-technical audiences
- Client service mentality, adaptability and willingness to collaborate openly with other functions
- Knowledge of ETL and data warehouse concepts and processes
- Strong team player, able to work closely with and gain respect across functions/teams
- Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills, ability to distill complex and diverse business problems into simple, effective solutions (commercial, operational, organizational)
- Curiosity and passion about data, visualization and solving problems
- Experience with reporting, descriptive statistics, probability, and cleaning big datasets
- Willingness to question the validity, accuracy of data and assumptions
- Project management skills and experience with process evaluation and design
- Experience with fast-paced, data-driven business model
- Master’s Degree (or a B.S. degree with relevant industry experience) in math, statistics, computer science, or equivalent technical field
Preferred qualifications: - Experience with Tableau or equivalency to create impactful reports, visualizations, and interactive dashboards
