Groupon Coupons is Groupon's digital marketing affiliate business. We work directly with the world's biggest brands to bring extraordinary discounts to our customers every day. You know when you search the Internet for promo codes and they seem to magically appear? Well, that's us! We are seeking a highly experienced SEO Director to lead strategy and execution across the global coupons reach network. The successful candidate will have an expert working knowledge of SEO best practices across technical, onsite and offsite disciplines, and be able to call on a wealth of experience to deliver a robust forward-thinking strategy suitable for today’s organic climate.

The role will work closely with the global leadership team to scale operations and performance in a business critical function. The candidate will feel equally at home managing internal teams, specialist suppliers and interfacing with a diverse range of business stakeholders. We are seeking a strong team player who can drive an innovative SEO strategy that is aligned with the commercial functions of the business. Experience operating and growing a successful international SEO department in an enterprise environment is highly desirable.

You’ll spend time on the following:

• Lead the strategic direction and execution of a global SEO function.

• Work closely alongside the senior leadership team to drive integrated business strategy.

• Inspire and manage a team of internal SEO Managers, Specialists, and external suppliers.

• Monitor and report against objectives and set business relevant KPIs.

• Be an inspirational expert who communicates compelling strategy to the business.

• Drive an innovative strategy across onsite, offsite and technical disciplines.

• Work closely with SEO/SEM teams across business verticals to drive best practice and representation of coupons vertical in the organization.

• Lead resourcing, operations and budgets for the department.

• Drive the innovation agenda, ensuring that Groupon stays at the forefront

of SEO.

• Support corporate development initiatives with content partnership opportunities.

We’re excited about you if you have:

• 10+ years relevant professional experience in affiliate marketing, digital marketing or e-commerce; agency experience preferred

• Proven track record of being a highly analytical, strategic and structured thinker with the ability to influence parties across a matrixed organization

• Experience managing a business unit preferred

• Excellent understanding of technical SEO

• Excellent understanding of onsite content optimization

• Excellent understanding of link-building and offsite strategies including digital PR

• Experience building and managing successful teams

• Experience working with senior business stakeholders

• Experience solving complex issues with a highly analytical approach

• Experience working in enterprise environments

• Experience working on global SEO strategies

• Experience managing external suppliers- stakeholders, and negotiating optimal solutions across all parties

• Affiliate experience a plus
