Providence Health Plan is calling a Business Process Improvement Consultant 2 to Murray Business Center in Beaverton, OR

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Leads cross-divisional process/quality improvement engagements.
  • Leads complex process analysis and re-engineering efforts in prioritizing Business Process Improvement Team initiatives. Develops project plan and lead cross-divisional teams through resulting re-design efforts.
  • Employs Change Acceleration Process tools and techniques to help divisional and departmental leaders successfully implement and sustain improvements.
  • Assists the Program Manager, Business Process Improvement with mentoring of Business Process Improvement Consultant I positions.
  • Works with finance and organizational leadership to validate outcomes reporting from departments.
  • Consults with project teams on success criteria development and may help collect and analyze data during the course of a project. Provides insight to customers about the interpretation of data analysis.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in business administration, industrial engineering, systems science, or healthcare administration
  • 4 years of work experience in process/quality improvement preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Experience with formal process improvement methodologies and tool sets. Must be able to explain the process and cost/benefit implications of decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to use intermediate and advanced functions of the standard Microsoft Office Suite of application programs
  • Formal education or certification in process improvement
  • Training in CAP/WorkOutTM or similar methodologies

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Formal education or certification in project management
  • Experience with formal project management methodologies based on Project Management Institute (PMI) principals
  • Training in Six Sigma
  • Proficient at Process/Workflow modeling, analysis, and redesign
