Role Description

Dropbox is looking for a Security Operations Lead Analyst to lead a team of Security Operations Analysts in our San Francisco office. This role, based in San Francisco, will be responsible for helping build and maintain an efficient and safe environment for Dropbox and it’s users. As a Security Operations Lead Analyst, you will help the team meet its technical and operational objectives, quickly grow team members in their careers, and enable personal growth.

Responsibilities

  • You will lead, develop, and support a growing customer focused Security Operations team
  • You will provide vision and direction for the team. Lead effectively through outcomes rather than tasks.
  • You will ensure your team is equipped with the knowledge, training, and tools to be successful in their roles
  • You will lead and collaborate across teams, partner throughout the entire software development life-cycle with engineers at all levels
  • You will develop and execute strategies or initiatives that align to Security goals, scale operations, or innovate the support experience
  • You will design, document and implement operational standard methodologies to achieve operational excellence
  • You will design and create tools and automation frameworks to develop, build, test and release various high quality deliverables.
  • You will ensure the team meets its operational and technical responsibilities.
  • You will make and implement security decisions according to process. Develop tools to automate these processes.
  • You will partner with various parts of the company to understand evolving business needs and onboard/operationalize/automate new technologies and processes
  • You will develop and refine operational metrics to measure customer happiness, trends, employee productivity, and staffing levels
  • You will collaborate with teams across the organization to develop solutions through process, tools and automation

Minimum Requirements

  • BS degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
  • Coding/scripting experience in one or more general purpose languages (1-2 years experience)
  • Keen interest in application, systems and network security
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service, organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences
  • 5+ years of experience leading a team of engineering and/or security operations professionals for a distributed organization.
  • 3 years of hands-on technical experience as an individual contributor security professional prior to management.

Preferred Requirements

  • BA/BSc in Computer Science or related fields or equivalent experience
  • Strong coding experience (3-5 years experience)
  • Ability to prioritize and manage across multiple, often time-sensitive initiatives.
  • Ability to recruit and manage a team of analysts/engineers on large scale projects.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices such as Incident, Problem and Change
  • Ability to work well in a team environment with a focus on knowledge sharing and collaboration
  • Can adapt quickly to changing priorities and make quick decisions with limited information
  • Desire to take Dropbox even further
