Product Manager - SRE

Our Product Managers play a critical role in achieving our goals. They lead multi-disciplinary teams to define product strategy and develop, launch, and enhance the products and services that drive our business forward. Our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team is focused on creating ultra-scalable and highly reliable software systems. We are looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager to help us refine and drive our product strategy and roadmap for a portfolio focusing on SRE tools and services including monitoring, alerting, capacity management, resiliency testing and deployment. Ultimately empowering thousands of agile teams across the enterprise to increase efficiency, ship faster, learn more and solve faster.

In this role you will:

  • Relentlessly push to understand customer and stakeholder needs and ensure they are considered in prioritization and trade-off discussions
  • Set product direction and lead road mapping, goal setting, story writing, project execution, and roll-out strategy
  • Identify unmet needs and innovation opportunities and guide interdisciplinary teams to deliver powerful products to market
  • Lead strategy utilizing custom or off the shelf products to build tools around Monitoring, Capacity Management, Resiliency Testing, Certification Management
  • Test and iterate in small-scale pilots to validate concepts, refine them to achieve product-market fit, and then scale to drive enterprise adoption and operation efficiencies
  • Collaborate and work closely with internal partners. From software engineering, UX/UI, and analytics, you will be fostering relationships with coworkers across the company to support their efforts while delivering products
  • Regularly and systematically use key performance indicators (KPI’s) and other data to uncover opportunities, track product performance, and drive decision making
  • Prioritize, negotiate and remove blockers to orchestrate successful launch or optimization cycle
  • Serve as subject matter expert, contributing practitioner, thought leader, career guide and mentor to teams
  • Establish or participate in Design Thinking, Agile, and Lean methods which establish rhythm for the team, promote ongoing communication, and iterative refinement of roadmaps

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Proven experience in and passion for building and shipping great products on multiple cloud providers
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Creative problem solver who lives at the intersection of Human, Business and Technology dimensions. Deep fluency and experience in at least two dimensions and understanding of the third.
  • Collaborative, team player attitude with the ability to navigate and influence the organization.
  • Experience shipping multiple products across a variety of platforms and channels
  • Track record of defining strategy, creating advocacy/alignment and being accountable for outcomes
  • Agile Product Management experience
  • Familiar with DevOps and SRE concepts
  • Fluency in human-centered product discovery methods such as design thinking and service design

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in digital product management
  • At least 3 years of professional coding experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 3 years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into technologist facing digital products
  • 3 years of experience in Agile product management
  • Industry or hobbyist experience with emerging and leading technologies across disciplines
