Senior Accountant

Job Description

You’ll spend time on the following:

• Perform the daily bookings and ongoing tasks and activities of the local accounting department
• Play a key role in the month end close process by preparing journal entries and managing various asset and liability reconciliations
• Co-ordinate accounting and reporting activities with outsourcing providers
• Working with outsourcing provider on monthly VAT return and ESL finalization
• Assist the AP team in daily accounting activities and month-end closing processes
• Support Accounting Team Lead in fluctuation analysis
• Prepare and file statistic reports, Central Bank reports and other if necessary
• Responsible for the preparation and audit of statutory financial statements
• Prepare reporting and reconciliation of cash aggregation and cash flow forecasting activities
• Supporting special projects and implementations aimed at improving operating efficiencies
• Cooperate with external and internal auditors
• Ensure all SOX controls are performed

We’re excited about you if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Sound understanding of US GAAP/IFRS
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• CPA eligible, if not licensed
• Initiative – there will be plenty of space to implement your ideas into the process
• You're comfortable with MS Office, with Excel being your secret favorite
• You ideally have experience with general ledger/month-end close processes
• Working knowledge of NetSuite accounting system a plus
• You're a details person with a penchant for preparing meticulously accurate work
• You're enthusiastic, adaptable, and see challenges as an opportunity to grow
• You thrive in an often-times ambiguous environment
• You're seeking to join a collaborative but driven Finance department
• Knowledge of German language would be an asset but is not required
