About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our fast growing People Analytics Team. Our Team’s mission is to use data to help make smart people decisions and make WeWork the best place to work. Data underlies decisions related to hiring, promotion, compensation, engagement, development, careers, attrition, benefits, diversity, and the culture at the heart of WeWork. We are focused on providing self-service analytics through visualizations and interactive tools.

In this role, you will report to the Manager of Decision Science and help define how the business uses & interprets data. The ideal candidate is passionate about telling stories with data and can drive the development process from initial prototypes to the final product.

Job Responsibilities:

• Partner directly with the various functions within the People Team to support any reporting requirements needs for projects, measuring or analysis
• Build, develop & design dashboards to support People metrics and KPIs.
• Integrates multiple systems and data sets to build large and complex data sets and make them usable (e.g., transforming and cleaning data, working incomplete data sources, implementing and validating quality procedures).
• Liaises and collaborates with other COEs, Business Advisor organizations and Core People Services on the whole analytics lifecycle (conceptualization, data collection, analysis, and recommendations) or when subject matter expertise is required
• Design and implement data models using our BI tool
• Architect and manage our people data and analytics process by cleaning and refining data.
• Assist in maintaining and building out our Self-Service analytics ecosystem.

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree (4 years) in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math or related field. Master's degree preferred .
• 2-4 years’ experience in Tableau required
• Exception SQL skills is required
• Experience with Python, R or another programming language is a plus
• Experience with D3 or another front-end JS data visualization library is a plus
• Portfolio you can share of intuitive and interactive visualizations
• Passion for solving problems with data visualization. You can tell a compelling story with data.
• Ability to prototype and transform ideas into polished products quickly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate with data scientists and analysts as well as non-technical business users
• Ability to work well in a lean team environment, often under pressure.
• Ability to maneuver in a matrix environment, leverage indirect reporting resources, and work well in ambiguous situations
