Business Process Analyst

Job Description

You : We are seeking individuals with business and technology consulting experience to work on business process design to support the implementation of our flagship SaaS product within our Customer Delivery team. You will work closely with customers and the Apptio team to support the customer business needs and solution requirements. As a business process specialist, your efforts will directly impact the value realized by the customer and the ultimate success of the relationship. In order to succeed in this team, you must have the passion and energy to work in a startup, entrepreneurial, and fast paced environment.

What we want you to do:

• Understand client goals and outcomes, leading the client to achieve these using industry best practices.
• Collect and document business requirements for project and process improvement.
• Assist clients to understand use case processes to support new business process design.
• Guide the client in creation and documentation of Apptio dashboards, reports and underlying data models to meet functional design and specifications.
• Work closely with other consultants in the organization to leverage skill sets and deliverables.
• Improve the effectiveness of Enterprise Business Management through process standardisation and improved consistency.
• Formulate, document and obtain agreement of appropriate process improvements for review by the customer.
• Monitor adoption and effectiveness of process changes and recommend improvements or changes to action plans accordingly.
• Develop requirements specifications, solution options, and business cases according to standard templates.
• Facilitate process workflow modeling in order to collaborate on process improvements, automation capabilities and clearly defined end-to-end use cases.
• Collaborate with other departments in the company to achieve customer satisfaction and resolve customer issues in a timely fashion.

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a business, process or technical analyst / consulting role
• Customer facing experience in system implementation
• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, Finance or equivalent experience
• Ability to demonstrate experience with data analysis and data manipulation.
• Ability to elicit business requirements and understand the importance of business objectives and value
• Advanced process management, redesign and mapping capabilities
• Team player with solid communication and presentation skills.
• Professional Business Analyst or Process certification (e.g. ISEB, IIBA, PBA, BPMN, CMMI, SIPOC, ISO, ITIL, Six Sigma, Lean)
• Ability to travel as required

Preferred Qualifications:

General

• Self-starter – able to come up to speed on complex, difficult concepts with minimal assistance.
• Competent with packaged and SaaS application software implementation practices.
• High-level knowledge of enterprise organizational, business and technical environments.
• Client-focused attitude – a customer advocate.
• Consulting experience in enterprise systems implementations
• Proven leadership experience working in front of clients
• Ability to breakdown complex information to simple solution requirements
• Experience and / or knowledge of Service Costing (cost allocations)
• Ability to communicate at different levels (both business and technical) based on audience

Business Domain Focus

• Specific knowledge and application of business services and financial management including budgeting, cost allocations, capital & operating expense handling, program portfolio management, and IT application / infrastructure support.
• Operational knowledge of IT infrastructure and / or Business domains including HR, Legal, Finance, Facilities etc...

Technical Domain Focus

• Experience of data analysis and data analytics.
• Skilled at working with large data sets, quickly detecting data patterns and data-related issues.
• Skilled at completing business requirement design via workshops and mockups where required
• Executive report and dashboard design including wireframe and mockups
• Experience in business process mapping
