NLP Mathematician - Computational Linguistics

We are looking for exceptionally curious and creative NLP Mathematicians to join our Seattle team and build the future of writing with category-defining data products. You will be joining a welcoming and collaborative natural-language processing team at a company with language at its heart. You will partner closely with engineers and linguists, applying your expertise to construct the core pipelines that process document data from Textio customers worldwide: engineering model features, designing annotation tasks, training and shipping production models, and building into new writing domains. We'll support your growth as you make substantive contributions to Textio’s linguistic analyses.

What you'll do at Textio:

• Creatively apply and re-envision NLP and ML algorithms, using complex mathematical models to solve challenging language problems
• Build pipelines for language analysis at increasing levels of depth and complexity
• Bring a strong ethical orientation to your analysis of linguistic behaviors and social realities
• Balance the trade-offs between linguistic sophistication and practical feasibility
