JOB DESCRIPTION

We believe that the Japanese market represents significant growth opportunity for SAP Ariba. While both SAP & Concur have a significant installed base in Japan, the SAP Ariba deployments in region have struggled predominantly due to customer unhappiness with system quality & a lack of urgency with issue resolution. In an effort to improve our operational excellence in region, we are investing resources in region to improve 5 key pillars: product quality, issue management, customer success, sales enablement and deployment quality. The Solution Specialist role will act as an Interface between the customer and our shared services organization to triage all issues, work with support/development and confirm solution configuration.

The Ariba solution specialist will serve as the overall SME for the Ariba solution working as part of the services team across deploying customers triaging issues and providing solution guidance. This person can also advise the CEX, presales and services on solution fit and architecture as required.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

Act as the Ariba solution specialist and overall SME for the Ariba solution
Triaging issues to determine SR applicability (Config issue, normal operation as per documentation or defect)
Providing solution guidance to partners, CEX, presales and services on solution fit and architecture as required..
Push through support and escalate as required
establish strong relationship with P&I and support
Act as the liaison for P&I to Japan – ambassador to Japan for P&I including support.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required
Ability to travel 25%
5+ years of SAP Ariba experience, familiarity with support & P&I organization
Fluent Japanese preferred
Experience working in cross functional, matrixed organizational teams
Demonstrated experience in project, client management, and escalation management
