Groupon is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager (TPM) to partner with engineers, other project and program managers, business leaders, and senior management located across the globe. Responsibilities include tracking project status from initiation to completion, resource management, vendors and contract negotiation processes, as well as coordination of agile software development lifecycle activities for various large scale projects and programs.
We're looking for Technical Project and Program Management professionals who want to thrive in a fast changing environment, propose and implement new ways to get things done, and proactively remove blockers to enable team and project success.
Required Skills:
● 3+ years of proven successful technical project or program management experience.
● 1+ years of experience leading large-scale projects with cross-functional teams in global, fast-paced, customer-driven eCommerce or SaaS industries.
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical discipline
● Proven experience building out large-scale project plans with complex dependencies and effective resource management
● Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders such as C-Level and VP-Level management, including effective status tracking, issue escalation, and executive reporting to all levels within the organization.
● Strong time management, prioritization, problem solving, decision making, influencing, and conflict resolution skills.
● Proven experience in the Agile methodology and JIRA, creating and managing projects, issues, epics, sprints, reports.
● Proven record of creating new successful processes and improving existing ones.
Nice to have skills:
● Proven record of leading major organizational transformation initiatives.
● Experience in Product Development or Product Management.
● Finance or Marketing experience.
● Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical discipline
● PMP, Scrum Master, or other project certifications.
● Experience in project financial management (budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning).
