Yelp is a website and mobile app that makes it easy for users to connect with awesome local businesses. What We Are Looking For:

• Intrepid students who wish to develop real projects for Yelp and help connect people with great local businesses
• Experience with at least one modern programming language
• Successful completion of software projects in previous internships, open source, or academic environments
• Eagerness to learn about professional best practices, write clean and efficient code, and bring in new ideas

How You’ll Have an Impact:

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams
• Develop cool and useful features for our millions of business owners in the Yelp community
• Work on a real project taken straight from the team’s roadmap. Previous examples: Giving business owners the possibility to create and manage multiple accounts; integrating machine translation of reviews within the iOS app; building the Javascript front end for our photo categorization system
• Share your findings and results in an office-wide presentation at the end of your internship
