ERP Delivery Lead

Job Description

The Delivery Lead is initially engaged in the Opportunity phase. During the Delivery phase, the Delivery Lead (DL) is responsible for delivering projects according to the Solution Plan approved by a Solution Architect, and Avanade's contractual commitment to our client - in compliance with Managed Delivery principles.

Specifically, the Delivery Lead responsibility extends to:

•Leading the delivery of the contracted solution at the agreed upon terms, cost (ODE), schedule, and quality level

•Revising the scoping, estimating and standardization of the engagement

•Coordinating the mobilization activities at Project Initiation

•Monitoring and producing metrics and status reports, and ensuring that Avanade quality standards are followed

•Ensuring transparency and communications

•Managing individual and shared engagement-specific objectives

•Providing financial management of the cost of the work (including Cost of Poor Quality and Estimate at Completion)

•Applying the ten (10) Delivery phase Managed Delivery principles

•Solution Contingency management (allocating, tracking and documenting Solution Contingency usage)

•Reviewing the Client Data Protection Risk Assessment during opportunity phase or during transition to delivery phase.

•Overall governance and direction setting for the protection of the Client Data related to the project's scope.

•Acting as the project's CDP Executive, accountable for effective implementation of and ongoing compliance with the project CDP plan.

In addition and as part of their role in shaping, building and selling Microsoft solutions, the Delivery Leads are responsible for ongoing client relationship building and for generating follow-on opportunities.

The Delivery Lead plays a pivotal role in meeting project cost, schedule, and quality commitments. The Delivery Lead collaborates with the Sales Lead/Deal Owner to understand contractual and financial objectives and drives harvesting at engagement closure. Also should self-report compliance of Managed Delivery principles and performance metrics in compliance with Policy 5005.

Responsible for leading the delivery of the Avanade work

During the Delivery phase, the Avanade Delivery Lead is empowered to make decisions on behalf of Avanade and is the accountable Avanade representative for delivering the Avanade component of the contract. The Avanade Delivery Lead is responsible for drawing upon other appropriate Avanade resources to support delivery and to resolve any identified issues.

•During delivery of an Avanade project, the responsibility to deliver against Avanade's commitment to our clients rests with the Delivery Lead.

•The Delivery Lead must effectively collaborate among the Avanade engagement team, Avanade's leadership team, our client, and other project stakeholders.

•Typically further business opportunities leads are dependent upon the performance of the Avanade Delivery Lead.

•Avanade's financial performance, reputation, and future opportunities are also dependent upon the performance of the Avanade Delivery Lead.

Client Data Protection (CDP)

The Client Data Protection (CDP) Risk Assessment from the Opportunity phase is transitioned to the Delivery Lead. Unless instructed otherwise, the Client Data Protection Program is mandatory for all engagements. Projects are required to complete the Client Data Protection Risk Assessment and the Client Data Protection Plan.

The CDP Plan is a continuation of the Client Data Protection Risk Assessment. The Project Plan should take into account and cross reference, in conjunction with the Risk Management Plan and Quality Management Plan, actions driven by the CDP Plan.

A delivery lead has deep skills and experience in the following capability areas:

• Global Delivery : Optimizes cost to serve using delivery centers and multiple workforces.

• Avanade Connected Methods : Uses ACM to increase reliability, quality, speed and predictability of our end to end delivery work.

• End-to-end Delivery : Manages multiple teams and capabilities to deliver complete project or program scope.

• Vendor/Third Party Management : Manages multiple stakeholders effectively including vendors, third parties, and sub-contractors to achieve overall engagement goal.

• Value Realization : Manages delivery of Avanade and client business cases by monitoring costs and value delivered and intervening with corrective action when necessary to achieve commercial outcomes.

• People Management : Builds and maintains high performance teams (including Avanade and client teams).

• Performance and Reporting Management : Enable the processes, tools and techniques required to ensure timely and appropriate generation, collection, distribution and disposition of project progress and status information to project stakeholders.
