Product Marketing Director - Lifecycle
Summary
We’re seeking a savvy marketer to drive engagement within products and deliver new products to SoFi members as they grow throughout their financial lives. SoFi is in the business of creating innovative and transparent financial products, delivering them with user-friendly technology, and supporting our customers (who we call members) with benefits to help them reach their financial and professional goals faster. You’ll help SoFi craft narratives for our members that demonstrate the value of this entire product offering. Your job is to support a top company priority by driving engagement, retention, and cross-sell of current SoFi products that meet member needs. This is a highly cross-functional role, both within our Marketing team and across different departments in SoFi. This role reports to our Senior Director of Product Marketing.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Research and Positioning : Conduct research to develop consumer insights to identify problems in our members’ financial lives, including life events and triggers for changing financial needs. Build value propositions, messaging, and go-to-market strategies that solve these problems, in the form of bundled product offers and cross-sell offers
- Customer Acquisition : Develop and drive up sell programs across our customer segments and cross-sell programs of our different products. Shape the customer journey across SoFi products. Work with marketing channel owners (SEM, SEO, Direct Mail, Social, TV, Partnerships, etc) and the creative team to optimize the channel mix and deliver breakthrough campaigns that boost awareness and cross-sell for all products.
- Cross-Functional Planning and Budgeting : Own setting and achieving customer acquisition targets and budgets. Increase lifetime value of SoFi Members. Work with Product Management to create a seamless experience across the SoFi product ecosystem. Develop strategies and secure buy-in for these plans from business unit leaders.
Qualifications
- 7-10 years relevant marketing experience, preferably in consumer product marketing, with quantifiable revenue responsibility
- Strategy and Execution : Combine strategic thinking with tactical execution to drive customer acquisition through diverse channels
- Customer Research : Conduct quantitative and qualitative customer research and distilling it into actionable insights
- Analytics : Use data to drive strategy, execution, and optimization
- Storytelling : Passion for crafting a compelling story that drives people to action
- Self-Starting : Eagerness to roll up your sleeves to get things done
- Flexibility : Problem-solve in a fast-paced, self-driven environment
- Finance : Healthy understanding of personal finance (but don’t need to be a banker)
- Growth: Proven track record of building budgets and programs that support efficient growth
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA encouraged to apply
