We have an opening on the Insurance Solutions team team Senior Financial Analyst to focus on financial planning and analysis for our Insurance Solutions & Products Portfolio. You will be a critical member of the Insurance Solutions driving program and product insight. In this highly visible role and will have the opportunity to drive meaningful strategic initiatives by working closely with senior leaders across the company.

Role & Responsibilities

• Drive the strategic planning cycle to develop robust operating and budgeting plans.
• Own monthly performance reporting around key metrics. Collaborate with data science, operations leads, product managers, and finance to understand how product and ops changes impact performance
• Define new metrics and build dashboards to provide better visibility into business performance and improve forecast accuracy
• Conduct industry benchmarks and competitive research to influence long term changes to the business.
• Determines cost of insurance solutions operations by establishing standard costs; collecting operational and financial data.
• Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts and analyzing variances to plan.
• Guides financial analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts, explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
• Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
• Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.
• Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data.
• Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
• Increases productivity by developing automated financial applications and solutions to optimize tracking and reporting; coordinating information requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience with demonstrable experience.
• Advanced Excel modeling skills
• Mission-driven, enthusiastic to learn and grow; team-oriented with a positive attitude
• Ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels of the organization and make actionable recommendations
• Proficiency with financial forecasting systems (Anaplan, Hyperion) is a plus
• Familiarity with SQL and data visualization software (Tableau) is a plus
• BA/BS in Math, Statistics, Accounting, Financial Planning or similar field. MBA preferred.
• Self-starter with excellent problem-solving capabilities, judgment, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adept at thinking creatively (and strategically) on your feet; proven ability to manage complex workloads, multiple client demands and ever-shifting priorities.
• Ability to work cross-functionally.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, subject to rapid change and uncertainty.
